A native of New Jersey, Dr. Rotter earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Georgetown University School of Dentistry in 1976. He taught and lectured part-time at Georgetown until 1990. For the past 20 years, he has also been the onsite dentist at The Fairfax, a Sunrise Retirement Community with over 600 residents in Fort Belvoir, because he enjoys the challenges and rewards of working with the elderly. Dr. Rotter and his wife Debby live in Fairfax Station, VA, with their two dogs and two cats. They have three adult children. Debby is a psychotherapist with a private practice in Burke, VA. Dr. Rotter's recreational interests include skiing, biking, gardening, and just about any outdoor physical activity.
