Dr. Michael Weiss is the founder of the office. He has been practicing in Woodside since 1984 and moved to the current location on Queens Boulevard in 1996, seeking a more personalized, tranquil setting. Dr. Weiss earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the State University of New York at Stony Brook, where he also pursued graduate studies in philosophy alongside his dental education at the School of Dental Medicine.
When opening the Queens Boulevard office, Dr. Weiss aimed to establish a high-quality dental practice that is responsive to patients as individuals, each with unique health and economic needs. Dr. Beth B. Messinger joined the practice in 2007. A graduate of Cornell University and NYU School of Dental Medicine, she has brought an enhanced level of quality care to our patients. Our office’s approach is to work closely with patients’ insurance and develop payment plans that are comfortable and realistic. This requires clear and ongoing communication.
The rest of our staff, both clinical and administrative—Corin, Veronika, Savi, and Gigi—reflect the ethnic diversity of New York and the Queens communities we serve, including Woodside, Maspeth, Sunnyside, Rego Park, Elmont, Astoria, and Forest Hills. We speak English, Spanish, Russian, Filipino, Hebrew, Arabic, and Polish.
We believe strongly in patient privacy. It is our obligation to provide the best care possible—medically, dentally, and economically—while educating patients about dentistry and prevention.

Dr Weiss was my dentist for over two years and I wanted to like him as he seemed nice and they have some appointments after 5pm so I can go after work but have eventually decided the office in general is poorly run and they rush you without listening to your concerns.
First I’d like to say the Filipino dental hygienist lady who does cleanings is 5/5 stars and the reason I stayed. Dr Weiss is nice but rushed, not fully listening to your concerns and also has a weird habit of laying his instruments on the paper napkin on your chest/stomach which I found awkward. The front desk lady tries to mumble behind the glass at you and seems annoyed when you can’t hear her and she needs to slide the glass window open briefly to talk to anyone.
The main reason I’m leaving is because after getting a filling I had so much pain/sensitivity and in each of two follow up appointments with Dr Weiss to try to fix it he rushed me out after less than 8 minutes ( no joke) with him not addressing my problem

What stood out to me was the fact that Dr. Weiss is concerned about me. He asks how I’m doing throughout the entire time he’s working on my teeth. I’ve never experienced concern from any other dentist. His assistant and the receptionists are also very friendly and professional.
