About Dr. Mijin Choi

Dr. Choi is from Irvine, California. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of New England, College of Dental Medicine. She practiced in Seattle, Washington, where she met her husband. Dr. Choi was an affiliate professor in the Prosthodontics department at the University of Washington, School of Dentistry. Her husband is an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery resident at OHSU. Dr. Choi moved to Oregon and joined our practice in 2021.
Dr. Choi provides many treatments for our patients that we previously referred out to specialists. She is a member of professional organizations and holds certifications in implants, botulinum toxin, PRP facelift (Vampire facelift), and Invisalign.

Dr Choi and her team were amazing. Not only did they take the time to address my concerns, they were kind, caring, and worked hard to accommodate my schedule.
Dr Choi helped me remain calm during an emergency root canal, and worked me in on an already busy schedule… I am so grateful to know that I can count on her services going forward.

Dr. Choi and her staff were very warm and friendly, making me feel welcome and at ease (shout out to Justin and Yamina!). Despite being busy, they did not keep me waiting long. I was pleased that Dr. Choi really took the time to talk to me thoroughly about my health, as opposed to so many dentists who barely poke their heads in after a cleaning. I also appreciated how quickly they were able to schedule me for follow-up work (and, for that matter, how soon they were able to see me in the first place). The office itself was clean, if slightly run down, and the room I was in did not have a TV (which I didn’t mind, but we’ll see how I feel when I come back for fillings… ha). Overall, the quality of care, service, and bedside manner were as good as or better than I’ve come to expect, and I would readily recommend this practice to friends and family.

Very awesome people, I had a filling done and it took less than 20min, super easy and not painful. They made sure I was comfortable and talked me through every step of the process considering I have dental anxiety and asked them too. I was most scared of the cleaning because of the scraping and they used a fancy water pick to clean them and it was so fast and my teeth had never felt cleaner. I wish I could continue to go there but make sure you check your insurance policy for the exam or operation you want done before booking an appointment because even if they take it which they took mine, I still had to pay out of pocket when I thought it would be a free routine check up.

The entire staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in. I didn’t have to wait at all, and I was even able to schedule my follow-up appointments for the very next week — it’s clear they have great availability and can get patients in quickly, which I really appreciated. Everyone took the time to listen to my concerns and explain each step of the process in detail — something I’ve never experienced at a dental office before, and I truly appreciated it.
I also loved that during check-in, I was asked to fill out a short form about how I’d like the staff to interact with me (for example, being quiet, being friendly, or explaining each step). I chose “explain,” and they absolutely delivered. It was clear they tailored the experience to my preferences, which made a huge difference for me. I used to feel anxious about going to the dentist, but this thoughtful and personalized approach really put me at ease.

I created by their friendly reception staff and checked in quickly. The dental assistant, Brenda, was so sweet and friendly during my x-rays. She seemed attentive and moved quickly. Dr. Choi and Dr. Kimberly (forgot her last name) were AMAZING! They educated me on my pics and provided constructive feedback. I came from Kaiser previously and shared that with both of them. They were not judgy and were super professional. I felt like I had been a patient for many years even though it was my first time. I’m excited to keep going back.

I was able to be assessed for potential treatment by the doctor and discuss costs once I made it clear I was there for a specific purpose and not as a regular dental maintenance intake. My experience was amazing, friendly staff all around, this was my first experience with this particular dentist office through new insurance. They gave me a walk through of everything, plus an estimated cost of everything I would be billed, which is really helpful in my opinion. Only odd thing was that I had a totally different dentist, which was not something I was previous notified about. Afte asking my dental assistant, they told me the dentist can get called out suddenly to new locations for the day. Just be aware you might not receive who you ask for.

The staff at Inspire were AMAZING. I’m terrible with names, but every single interaction I had with every staff member was beyond pleasant. They were all efficient, honest and helpful. They also let me know there was a cancellation and I could bump up my appointment which was incredibly convenient! They’re all thoughtful, professional, and awesome. I’m grateful to have found them.

Office staff was friendly enough the assisant was friendly. However after exrays I sat in the chair for 45 min with no explaination as to why I didn't see the doctor. After that I was told staff could'nt contact my insurance, ( didn't have time) , and I would be e-mailed a proposal. I received the proposal, but I felt like I had a virtual dental appointment. Not even a introduction from the doctor and a explaination of my options. Also I would have thought insurance would be confirmed before patient is in the chair.

This was the best dentist office I have been to in a long time. The staff was super friendly and working hard to make sure I had a great experience the entire time. Additionally, they did a great job of explaining the items they found and what to work towards. Lastly, the office's dental technology was better than other dentists I have been to in the last decade, which made the cleaning a better experience and less painful than other places.

I loved my visit and it's very rare that I use the word love and dentist in the same sentence. Both the hygienist and dentist were warm and compassionate. I've definitely found a new home for my anxious teeth and gums. All anxieties left my mouth while I was at the office and I'm almost looking forward to going back, even though I have a long and painful dental history.
I highly recommend Mijin Choi & the part time hygienist I had! Unfortunately, I forgot her name but not her kindness and efficiency.

Mijin Choi seemed like she really enjoyed her work, she has a bright spirit. She communicated clearly with me, and the dental hygienist, and showed leadership skills in directing training for her team. Office Staff is also very friendly, and the atmosphere was comfortable and efficient.

Excellent staff!! Not only was I approached with direct information about payments and cost breakdowns, but a staff that felt like a family. My experience with Dental offices has been poor in the past. However this was not the case at Inspire Dental. The Staff made sure I felt comfortable and safe, my wellbeing a top priority. Friendly banter, Honesty, and Reassurance come to mind when I think of this place of business. They truly care for their patients.

Highly recommend Inspire Dental!!! Their whole operation and staff were extremely capable, considerable and welcoming. From the moment I walked in to the moment I left; just a fantastic experience.
