About Dr. Mohamed El-Ounsi
Dr. Mohamed El-Ounsi, a Board Certified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon. He attended dental school at the New York University College of Dentistry. Following graduation, he completed a general practice residency at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City with a focus on implant and dentoalveolar surgery and complex dental rehabilitation. After completing his residency, he went on to complete his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency at NYU Langone and Bellevue Hospital, one of the nation’s top programs, serving as Chief Resident his final year of training.
Dr. El-Ounsi is a member of many professional organizations including the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American College of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the American Dental Association, the New York State Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, the Suffolk County Dental Society and the New York State Dental Association. He currently performs full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery, but has a special interest in dentoalveolar and implant surgery and IV sedation. He is certified in Basic Life Support (CPR), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). He is a fellow of AAOMS and a diplomate of ABOMS.
In his free time, Dr. El-Ounsi is passionate about traveling and spending time with his wife, Pallavi, their mini goldendoodle, Bryson, and their two children, aged three and four, Arin and Aiden. He also enjoys music, motorsports, snowboarding, exercise, and Muay Thai. Dr. El-Ounsi, a native New Yorker and is thrilled to return to the Island.

The appointment was timely, insurance was in network and everything was organized. I will return for another appointment when the time is appropriate. The staff all patient and friendly. My 8 year old daughter had to have 2 teeth extracted and although she was very nervous, Dr. El-Ounsi and his whole team made her experience as smooth as possible. They were very comforting and kind to her and helped to keep her calm throughout the procedure. Dr. El-Ounsi has a wonderful bedside manner and is also very professional and explained everything in detail.
The staff at this office is top notch and our overall experience here was great.

I’m not a big fan of going to any Dentist ever! I must say I was shockingly surprised of how comfortable the Dr. made me feel! Within moments of talking with him I knew I was in good hands!
After the extraction I knew I was in excellent hands!
I will never see another oral surgeon simply because I’ve now been to the best!!

Had an amazing experience getting a tooth extraction and implantation with Dr. El-Ounsi, I was super nervous as I recently had a bad experience at another dental office, but Dr. El-Ounsi and his staff were super professional and made sure to talk me through everything and help me calm down. The entire procedure was painless and super quick. Now almost a year later my implant is holding perfectly, Dr. El-Ounsi have also recommended a great general dentist doctor for crown placement. Overall experience have been super seamless, I would certainly comeback again if needed for another procedure and highly recommend to family and friends.

I was already nervous to go in and have my tooth extracted on top of going to a new practice yet when I walked in I was
treated with kindness and courtesy. Everyone from the front end to the doctor and all medical professionals inbetween were so accommodating. Dr. El-Ounsi listened to me and my concerns and treated me like a person. The staff ensured I was taken care of in the same manner as well. I would recommend this office to everyone.
