Dr. Amjad Kandar is a general dentist with almost 15 years of experience in the art and science of cosmetic dentistry. He has perfected his technique to provide you with quality dentistry, the best that modern dentistry has to offer. He uses the latest high-tech equipment, such as lasers, digital x-rays, and computer imaging, so that patients have a more comfortable and unforgettable experience. EDUCATION
Dr. Amjad Kandar is dually trained in dentistry, with two degrees of D.D.S. (Doctor of Dental Surgery). He obtained his Bachelor in Doctor of Dental Surgery as his undergraduate degree overseas. He received his second DDS degree in graduate school as a Doctor of Dental Surgery from the prestigious School of Dentistry at the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry. He was chosen among three of his peers to join the most competitive dental program in the nation at the School of Dentistry at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Kandar is licensed, certified, and recognized in two states in the U.S. by the Dental Board of California and the Dental Board of Oklahoma.
Additionally, he is a member of the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and San Francisco Dental Society (SFDS). Dr. Kandar is constantly continuing his education to provide the most advanced dentistry for his patients. In the past 15 years, he has taken more than 500 registered hours of continued education through the various U.S. and European certified dental institutions in the U.S. and around the world. As a result, he possesses broad knowledge and interests in endodontics, orthodontics, oral surgery, and his passion, cosmetic dentistry. He has achieved his laser certification from the American Academy of Laser Dentistry (ALD) and is a graduate of the prestigious American Academy of Facial Esthetics (AAFE).

I've been going to this practice for about 15 years now. UNO Dental’s team is professional, and the cleanings are first-rate. Over all these years, I only had great experiences with all my "major" events. As a result, I'm not even scared of needles any more. I am less concerned about the price, as they provide a boutique experience. And if price and insurance is your primary determinant, then you should sort that out beforehand. I've never had a bad experience here. They’re honest, professional and have everything laid out before any commitment. Since Dr. Kandar took over, the practice has seen significant improvements, from the experienced dental team, to all-new technologies, many comforts and amenities added to ease patients’ anxieties like mine. Highly recommend it; I would not even consider anywhere else.
