“We came to Central Park Dentistry for my son’s first dental check up. The entire staff was so welcoming and kind, from the front office to the provider and assistant. The check in process was so easy and we were seen at the exact time of our appointment. Our dentist asked some questions before getting started, and she quickly adapted to the care my son needed. She made him feel so comfortable it was amazing to see him get through the check up without fussing like he’ll usually do at a doctor’s appointments. They even helped me with removing my tooth gem! This was not planned, but when we asked if they remove tooth gems they said they do and quickly made it possible to remove it right there with in 15 mins. I would recommend this dentist office to everyone!”

Dr. Monica Lobo, a New York native, is a Board Certified Pediatric Dentist. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry in Baltimore, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Dr. Lobo then completed her two-year pediatric specialty training at Yale New Haven Hospital where she served as Chief Resident.
Dr. Lobo believes that early intervention and education lead to a lifetime of good oral health. She provides gentle, preventive, minimally invasive dentistry for patients ranging from infants to teenagers. She is also trained in treating neurodivergent children and those with special needs.
Dr. Lobo strives to create a comforting and friendly environment by understanding the unique needs of every child and their family. Her love of language helps her connect with and embrace families from a variety of backgrounds; she is fluent in English and Spanish and converses with basic phrases in Danish, German, ASL, and Pashto.
Dr. Lobo is committed to continuing education and evidence-based care, using the latest advancements in materials and technology. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and was inducted into the prestigious Omicron Kappa Upsilon society.
In her free time, Dr. Lobo loves to explore Central Park with her dog Finley. She also enjoys traveling, running, singing, learning languages, and playing racquet sports.

Amazing! Dr. Lobo is an excellent pediatric provider who's patient, very friendly, and gentle . Not to mention she spokes English, Spanish and Danish! My daughter had a blast at her first dental visit and pediatric room is so cute and cozy. Lumia is an amazing practice and I would highly recommend to adults and children.

Dr. Monica Lobo is a fantastic dentist and took great care of both my daughters who are 6 and 8 years old. She was very patient with them and treated them with gentle care and in a very friendly manner. Dr. Lobo is continuing to work with my younger daughter to address some longer term issues and my daughter is very happy to be in her care.
I would strongly recommend Dr. Monica Lobo to anyone who is looking for a dentist for their children. Thanks!

My little brother came to Dr.Lobo for a visit and said it was the best experience he has ever had at the dentist, which was surprising since he usually hates his dental visits. Thank you Dr.Lobo for giving my brother the best experience! Dr. Lobo is hands down the best pediatric dentist in NYC. 10/10 recommend.

Dr. Lobo was excellent! She was friendly, professional and thorough. My teeth were super clean after my cleaning and we discussed all my dental concerns. (I was going to another Manhattan dental practice and my teeth were much whiter and felt cleaner after Dr. Lobo’s cleaning)
I also appreciated the advice she gave re: a bite issue and dental hygiene.
Will definitely return.
