About Dr. Murphy Maddox

Dr. Murphy Maddox believes dental visits should never be painful and treats every patient like family. He strives to provide quality care through innovative dentistry in a way that makes patients feel good about themselves. After graduating from UAB School of Dentistry, Dr. Maddox completed a 12-month advanced residency through New York University–with intensive surgical training for implants and bone grafting. Dr. Maddox has always been an artist and combines his passion for creating beautiful smiles with efficient and hospitality-driven patient care. He has been practicing in the area for 7 years and loves furthering his dental knowledge through continuing education. Dr. Maddox is active in the Birmingham community- he is part of the Christian Medical Ministry of Alabama and has served as chairman of the Board for the Samford School of the Arts for several years. Having initially graduated from Samford University with a vocal performance degree, Dr. Maddox also served as worship pastor at Riverchase Baptist Church for 13 years. Check out his art on Instagram!
