Nancy Aft, DDS, is an experienced cosmetic dentist at Brooklyn City Dental located in the Greenpoint area of Brooklyn. She has over 30 years of experience in cosmetic and general dentistry and enjoys helping patients in New York City achieve beautiful smiles. Dr. Aft earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery from Texas A&M University, Baylor College of Dentistry. For many years, she ran her own dental practice and dental assisting school in Florida before moving to NYC. Went for a cleaning and ended up with more of a sales pitch. Normal process X-ray, cleaning, consultation not here. This process went X-ray, doctor came in to consult and advised someone else would be in to advise how much the work would cost. Gentleman comes in starts to run down pricing and totals after insurance coverage. Then offers 12 months no interest. Sure why not, got up and left. Never been to a dental office where it felt business like and not doctor patient.

Bedside manner was pretty disappointing. A lot of people came in and out of the room. More than once the Dr. left and came back and never spoke to me. At first it was fine but it started to get on my nerves. Then the hygienist gave unsolicited advice on my teeth and how they should be fixed. I was there for a chipped tooth. I liked the Doctor, but bedside manner at the whole office was poor. I even went back the following week for a cleaning and had the same experience

Great place if you're in a time crunch and want to be seen efficiently. A little too busy for my preference but everyone was nice, especially the office staff in the front.

Nancy and the entire staff were incredibly kind and moved very quickly. I get quite nervous at the dentist, but it was as painless as possible and I felt very educated on my situation and the treatment plan set for me, with incredibly transparent pricing information. I will certainly return to Nancy for future dental needs and would encourage anyone looking for a good dentist to give her a visit.

The reception and dental assistant who took my Xrays were soo friendly - the main room where you get your teeth inspected also has Netflix set up on a TV for patients to watch whatever they want while getting Xrays taken/ while waiting. Dr. Aft was also very kind and friendly! She did a really thorough job on my teeth; would 10000% recommended this dental clinic. :)

Highly recommend this place! Extremely clean and friendly environment. Dr. Nancy is a very professional doctor, very sweet and thoughtful with her patients. I will definitely be coming back to this place for any dental issues or concerns.

This office has the best patient care! I have severe anxiety (especially when it comes to doctors) and everyone at the office was incredibly understanding, professional, and caring, even comforting me when I started crying (fillings are scary). Shahbaz was very gentle with the X-rays and kept checking in to make sure I was doing okay with the visit. Jennifer was so attentive with the suction, for the first time in my life I could breathe comfortably while getting worked on in a dentist’s chair. Dr. Ishal diagnosed me very quickly and answered all of my questions and alleviated the worst of my fears. Dr. Aft worked so quickly and carefully, I didn’t feel a thing. Even my recovery was painless! The entire appointment was less than 90 minutes, and during COVID no less. Thank you so much to everyone at this office. I will never go anywhere else for dental care. These guys are seriously the best!

Dr. Aft wasn't there. I'd done a lot of research before picking Dr. Aft. I saw a different dentist and things went well, despite some confusion from the ZocDoc booking. They are also trying hard to sell you on things. My advice: 1) stop the hard sell and 2) tell people who they are going to see before they come in. The dentist was excellent, just not who I expected. None of my issues have anything to do with the actual dentistry. I'm tired of upselling in everything I do. Wish I could take a break from haggling when it comes to my health. I'm a person, not a commodity.

Dr. Aft is amazing. I’m terrified of dentists and she went out of her way to explain the procedure in detail as I asked and gave me a heads up before everything she did as I asked. Due to traffic (or lack thereof), I arrived 30 mins early and they were able to fit me in 30 mins earlier. The visit, as always, was very stress-free and friendly. No one likes going to the dentist, but ever since I started coming to this practice, I don't abhor it anymore.
