About Dr. Nancy William
It has always been my dream to give back to my community, which is why I feel very fortunate that I am able to practice in my hometown of Lakewood.
I am proud to be an integrative dentist that looks for the root cause of why a patient has cavities, has infections, cracked teeth, is grinding, or having TMJ issues. I believe that the mouth is the gateway to the body. I love to stay on top of the latest research that continues to show that a healthy mouth is essential to a healthy body. I am certified to remove mercury (silver) fillings in a safe way so you don't breathe in harmful mercury vapors, and I have advanced training in breathing and sleep related issues. I love educating my patients about their oral health, and informing them of their best options, and together we can create a treatment plan that fits their needs. My philosophy has always been to treat my patients as my own family.
Education
I am a proud alumni of Long Beach Polytechnic High School. I completed my dental education at Marquette School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin where I spent four long winters studying to gain the best dental education.
I am committed to furthering my education and providing my patients with evidence based dentistry by attending continuing education courses all around the country.
Outside the office
When I am not at the office I enjoy spending time with my family, participating in church activities, and reading.

So impressed with Dr William! I was expected, my new patient paperwork that was offered online was recognized so I had nothing to fill out in the office. Tina, who took my x-rays, was super nice and made the process as comfortable as possible. Dr William took the time to talk to me about how I haven't been sleeping well and recommended next steps for me to talk to my doctor about. It's clear she cares about her whole patients, not just their mouths! I'm new to this office but can't recommend it highly enough.

I needed a routine cleaning and a small filling, both procedures were performed in a timely manner and the hygienist and Doctor both were very understanding and aware of my stated needs (sensitive teeth and hate needles).

I was seen by Dr. Girgis. He was great! Let's be honest of all the medical professionals Dentist probably have one of the toughest jobs as no one really wakes up and says 'yeah today I want to go see a Dentist!' Dr. Girgis makes the experience as easy peasy as possible. He explains everything clearly on what's going on with your teeth and the procedure(s) that need to be done. The whole office is very pleasant and everyone is so kind and helpful. I highly recommend Lakewood Smiles and Dr. Girgis!!

Hands down the best dentist that I have ever visited and I have just switched over from my other dentist of 10+ years. Dr. William was completely thorough in her explanation of what's going on with my teeth and possible causes and best courses of treatment. They even explained the billing process so I don't get a surprise two weeks after my visit.
The staff are all wonderful and completely competent in their jobs. If they have room for you, I would highly recommend you come in for a check-up.

I am a new patient and I was a little apprehensive. The office staff set me at ease. I typically have difficulty with x-rays but they made the process as easy and successful as possible.
The doctor showed me everything she was doing and described in detail the work needing to be done.

Clean office. The staff were all super friendly. No wait time- They took me right away even though I was early! I felt really comfortable during my whole visit. I've had some really bad experiences with other dentists, and so I was nervous going in. But after X-rays and all I felt like I finally was getting the right treatment.
