In 2002 she came to the U.S. to start her General Practice Residency Program, the first year at St Mary’s Hospital in Waterbury, CT, and the second year at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. On returning to Connecticut, she started working with the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine as an Associate Professor and was director of the Concept Pilot Project that incorporated undergrad student and graduate residents in the same clinical environment. She moved to private practice in 2014 and has been part-time in private practice ever since. She is currently still working as a part-time professor at University of Connecticut, where she provides clinical instruction to the post-graduate residents and undergraduate students. When not working, Dr. Maiary enjoys time with her 2 daughters, gardening, being outdoors and working with local charities to serve underprivileged community members.

About Dr. Naseema Maiary
