About Dr. Nazia Ahmed
Dr. Nazia Ahmed, before pursuing dentistry, conducted research at the University of Pennsylvania and contributed to publishing a research paper on AML Leukemia. After shadowing local dentists, Dr. Ahmed applied and was admitted to the prestigious Columbia University, College of Dental Medicine in New York City, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. She then completed further postgraduate training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry, also at Columbia University.
Since graduating, Dr. Ahmed has been providing comprehensive dentistry. She is strongly committed to continuing education. In 2012, she became a Fellow in the Academy of General Dentistry. This recognition represents over 500 hours of post-doctoral education as well as the successful completion of a written exam given by the Academy. Dr. Ahmed believes in preventative, meticulous, friendly dental care. She looks forward to being your dentist!

This is my second time going for a cleaning at this dentist's office. The woman who did the cleaning (not Dr. Ahmed, but I don't recall her name) was lovely. Very pleasant, takes an interest in the patient, and informs you of what she's doing before she does it. She also checks in on your comfort regularly.
However, I have trouble recommending this office because they charge considerably more to fill a cavity than any other dentist I have ever been to.
I also felt like she was pressuring me, as if she was trying to get a sale rather than take care of a patient. When I heard the prices for the cavity filings, I said I had to think about it, which should have been the end of it. However, I was asked, "Well, when should we check in with you? Tomorrow? Two weeks? When should we call you?" Don't call me. I'll call you if I decide to proceed. It was very off-putting.
Dr. Ahmed seems nice enough. However, I can't comment on her as a dentist since I've never actually had any dental work done by her, and I likely never will solely because of her prices.

I’ve always hated going to the dentist and resisted going for years because of my fear, but I have to say Dr. Ahmed and her team are the best!!! They took the time to listen to my concerns and addressed them with care. The cleaning was super thorough, thanks Janelle! Dr. Ahmed explained everything I needed in depth really getting to the root of my gum and teeth issues. All in all I’m never going to another dentist , and can’t wait to go back! Thanks Dr. Ahmed and her awesome team!

Mis-Guiding! Wrong Information on Zoc Doc! Way Expensivee!!!!
My insurance is shown as in-network on Zoc-Doc for Dr. Ahmed and thats the reason i made the appointment in first place, i was never told until after the consultation that i was out-of-network. To top it i was given a crazy estimate (even after having an amazing insurance). Was also sent to another doctor (for endodontic consultation) who was again out-of-network, so i had to cover for it. And because i visited these two out-of network doctors, for the in-network doctor that i am going now, i had to cover the consultation for that too.
Every other doctor i have visited till now including Dentists, always give a call before the appointment and give an estimate if at all there is any co-payment for any service. I thought this was too unprofessional on their part.

This place is the best. My fiance and I have been going here for about a year now, and we are blown away by their kindness, honesty and efficiency. I was in and out for my appointment today, the doctor knew exactly who I was and the front desk staff is always friendly and acommodating. Look no further, this is your dentist!

I loved my experience here! Everyone was super friendly, I was greeted by name before even introducing myself to the receptionist. The office is beautiful, too. The hygienist was really knowledgeable too, and answered all of my questions. Definitely a positive dentist experience!

Dr. Ahmed is so knowledgeable and so kind. I am a very apprehensive patient and the sounds of machines cause me a lot of anxiety but she let me listen to music while working on my mouth. She took the time to explain dental health to me and how gum disease is caused. The whole office staff is very nice and professional.
Received a filling and it was done in under an hour with little to no discomfort.

So relieved to find an honest dentist in NYC. Extremely kind staff, beautiful facility, waited for just a few minutes when I arrived and was offered water and tissues (it was freezing out). Excellent cleaning, analysis of my previous xrays (the last dentist told me, based on the same xrays, that I had four cavities, which was 100% made up). They didn't try to get money out of me in any way, they were just kind, friendly, took care of me and gave me honest feedback on my teeth! Highly recommend!

Wonderful experience. I needed a filling for a broken tooth after a sloppy prior filling broke off. Dr. Ahmed was very gentle and thorough with the process. She also explained my x-ray and taught me how to better care for my teeth. The office is very clean and everyone was super friendly.

I'm usually skeptical of going to the dental office due to horrible experiences in the past and being in the dark. Today, at Dr. Ahmed's office, the process was seamless and professional from the moment I entered the office to the second I was done. The step-by-step explanation of the procedures was very helpful for me and getting a thorough read of my x-rays to understand the issues was wonderful. The wait-time, paperwork and appointment confirmation were very efficient as wel. Looking forward to being a regular:) special thank you to Janelle and Thamy who were so wonderful to me during the appointment.

I love Dr. Ahmed and her team at her office! Very relatable, friendly, and actually explained to me why I need to be taking better care of my teeth without making me feel guilty about it. I've been following her advice ever since. I had to get a bunch of fillings in for the first time ever and though I've heard horror stories from my friends about their filling experiences (not from this office), she made this process a breeze! She's also super responsive via email, which I've found helpful. Highly recommend.

Went in for my first dental appointment in 5 years (whoops!) and it was far better than i expected. Dr. Ahmed was very thorough, efficient, caring, and explained the procedures and what was going on in my mouth very well. She also didn't chastise me for neglecting to go to the dentist for so long, she just told me what happens when you don't get regular cleanings (which explained some of my discomfort). Would definitely recommend.
