She attended the University of Pennsylvania where she was enrolled in the seven-year Bio-Dental Program, earning a Doctorate of Dental Medicine (DMD). Dr. Almer graduated with multiple honors, including membership in the Matthew Cryer Honor Society and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society. After dental school, Dr. Almer continued her education at the University of Pennsylvania, earning a specialty certificate in orthodontics. As a resident, Dr. Almer was awarded the Robert L. Vanarsdall Fellowship Award for Academic Excellence. She is board-certified by the American Board of Orthodontics. In her free time, Dr. Almer enjoys solving crossword puzzles, experimenting with new recipes, and taking long nature walks with her husband.
