About Dr. Nikita Pastagia
Dr. Nikita Pastagia completed her undergraduate studies in India, graduating from the Government Dental College and Hospital with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2007. She then completed an internship at the Government Hospital of Gujarat, India, in 2008. After this, Dr. Pastagia moved to the United States to further her education and graduated from New York University College of Dentistry with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013.
She keeps herself updated with innovations in dentistry and, most recently in November, completed courses for implant placement from Hiossen® Implant. She has also received advanced training in laser dentistry, endodontics, Invisalign®, and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Pastagia is a member of the American Dental Association and the New Jersey Dental Association.
Her goal as a dentist is to become successful in her hometown and to establish a higher-end practice that uses modern technology. With this in mind, Dr. Pastagia strives to provide treatment across multiple areas of dentistry. It is her ultimate goal to keep her patients happy and to continue building their trust for generations. She has been building that trust since she started with the practice in 2014.
Dr. Pastagia comes from a very loving and supportive family. She credits each of her family members who believed in her and supported her throughout 10 years of dental education as she worked to become a successful professional. She is especially grateful to her husband, who has been with her at every milestone of her career, and her son, who brings tremendous joy to her even after long workdays. Dr. Nikita has a second family at her practice, where every individual is very special to her. She says, “As captain of my ship, I make sure every person on my sailboat is happy.”

I am experiencing a toothache and believe I have a wisdom tooth coming in, so I scheduled a 9:00 a.m. appointment to have it checked before leaving for a week-long work trip. After waiting for 20 minutes, I asked the receptionist if I would need to wait much longer. She stepped away to check, and upon returning, informed me that the doctor had not yet arrived and would be another 10 minutes. It is completely unacceptable that I was not informed earlier that the dentist was not present, nor that the office failed to notify patients of the delay. As a patient, I feel disrespected and that my time is not valued as equally as the dentist’s. A simple courtesy call or communication at check-in would have gone a long way.

I was very pleased with this dentist. She explained things to me, step by step for my teeth. Based on what I may need to have done and where and what teeth needed work.
She explained things about my teeth in a way I could understand, not in just dental vocabulary.
Overall I was happy with this dentist and her helpful staff.

My appointment was at 11:00 am, by 11:20 I was still in the waiting room. They walked me in an immediately did the anesthesia shot but left me sitting for another 25 minutes. At 11:45 I said I only had 2 hours for the whole visit. And that we ehere already 45 minutes late
While I was getting the job done, Dr Nikita kept going back an forth seeing other patients. She has two appointments booked per hour or she runs terribly late, which makes it impossible to get the proper attention
I specifically told her before hand that I needed a temporary filling on the root canal that could last at least 3 months since I was doing the crown back in my home country. At the end of the session she said the temporary filling was only going to last a month or so and that I should get it done with her
Everything felt very unprofessional and money oriented. Don’t think I will go back and really hope this thing lasts while I get it fixed

The Doc and office staff were excellent. Explained everything and helped with getting consent forms and advising me of out of pocket costs up front. Did not try and "sell" me other services (such as teeth whitening). I am going back.
