About Dr. Norman Sharp

Dr. Sharp came from a family of nine children and is a first-generation college graduate. He attended dental school at New York University College of Dentistry, where he was inducted into the Dental Honor Society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. He then worked as a general dentist in Wasilla for several years. Through his decade of general dentistry, he realized his passion for alleviating dental pain through root canal treatment. He moved his family to New Orleans, where he earned his M.S.D. and certificate in Endodontics at Louisiana State University School of Dentistry. Dr. Sharp loves Alaska and activities in the outdoors. During the warmer months, he can be found chasing the salmon runs, gardening, beekeeping, hunting, or flying a floatplane. During the winter he enjoys cross-country skiing and ice fishing and is hoping to find an affinity with fat-biking. He also loves to write stories and poems for his younger children, their favorite being “ The Bayou Boogaloo.” Dr. Sharp is passionate about ensuring each patient understands their treatment, and that they are comfortable during their visit. He is skilled in the use of endodontic microscopes, endodontic microsurgery techniques, and cone-beam CT. He is excited about offering specialized care at North Pacific Endodontics.
