About Dr. Omar Salem
Dr. Salem has had a lifelong passion for orthodontics and science. His father was an orthodontist, and his mother was a chemistry teacher. From a young age, Dr. Salem wanted to learn about orthodontics from his dad. He loved joining him in his private practice to help organize the lab, prepare supplies, and bend some extra wire his father used to give him. It was then that Dr. Salem developed his deep interest in orthodontics.
Dr. Salem earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. He completed his Orthodontic residency program at the State University of New York, Buffalo (SUNY at Buffalo) in 1999 with a 3.9 GPA and was awarded an honorary certificate of Scholarly Excellence. Afterwards, he continued his studies at SUNY Buffalo, graduating with a Master of Science in Orthodontics degree in 2000.
After graduation, Dr. Salem was recruited to serve on the faculty at the Department of Orthodontics at SUNY Buffalo until 2002. He then moved to Tufts University School of Dental Medicine, where he served as director of the Pre-doctoral Orthodontic Program until 2005. Dr. Salem’s passion for education and learning earned him the respect of his students and peers.
During his academic tenure, Dr. Salem was awarded a Certificate of Appreciation from Tufts Dental School for his contributions to the education process. He was also honored to publish numerous papers in peer-reviewed dental and medical journals, advancing orthodontic research, science, and technique.

Dr. Salem granted me the opportunity to complete an internship with him this past summer. Behind the scenes, I could see how well run, clean, organized, streamlined, and efficient his office is, not to mention modern and professional. In addition to this office being state-of-the-art, it has a welcoming staff from the front desk, to the assistants, to Dr. Salem himself - who always prioritizes patients’ needs and comfort, that leaves patients not only with a straighter smile but a happier one! As once a former patient and intern, I highly recommend this office for orthodontic care.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Omar Salem during my 16-month braces treatment. Initially quoted for 18 months, Dr. Salem worked diligently and efficiently to complete my treatment ahead of schedule. I couldn't be happier with the results, and I absolutely love my new smile. Dr. Salem's expertise and commitment to his patients are truly commendable. I highly recommend him for orthodontic care.

Dr Salem was very informative and thorough when discussing my treatment. The assistants were great and explained every step of the process. Front desk assistants were very accommodating and always greeted me with a smile.

Salem Orthodontics provided exceptional care for my son over the past 28 months. The office staff was always polite and helpful. Booking convenient appointment times was never an issue, and the few times we needed to reschedule, they were more than willing to help accommodate our busy schedule.
The orthodontic staff always greeted us with a warm welcome, and they explained the treatments and adjustments they performed at each visit in a way both my son and I understood.
Dr. Salem was both professional and personable. He answered any questions we had clearly and concisely, and we never felt rushed while in his care. He holds a wonderful relationship with his patients.
I’ve always loved my sons smile, but with the help of Salem Orthodontic, he can show it to the world with confidence and pride. I would recommend Salem Orthodontic to anyone seeking exceptional orthodontic care.

Dr. Salem and his staff are friendly and professional, competent and caring. He fully explained this course of treatment, and answered my questions in detail. The office and assistants are friendly, warm, and when needed, calming. I highly recommend Dr. Salem's practice!

Where do I begin? Dr. Salem and his amazing staff are truly one of a kind. As a adult patient, the comfort that I felt was beyond words. It really made the process of having braces an easy one. I will forever be grateful for my new smile because of them.
