About Dr. Pablo Velastegui
Dr. Pablo Velastegui was born and raised in Ecuador, where his father practiced as a general dentist. He moved to New York in 2006 to continue his education. He graduated from Queens College, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and then enrolled in a Master’s Program in Biology with a Microbiology emphasis. In 2018, Dr. Velastegui graduated from The University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine, where he received his degree of Doctor of Dental Medicine. He then moved to private practice in Massachusetts, where he advanced his clinical expertise in cosmetic and implant dentistry.
Throughout his dental career, Dr. Velastegui has made it a priority to provide dental care to patients in underserved communities. He has enjoyed traveling to Honduras, Guatemala, and Mexico on dental service trips, and has participated in many different community service programs in Connecticut.
For over eleven years, Dr. Velastegui worked as a sculptor’s assistant under the wing of Master Sculptor Greg Wyatt. He learned and improved his crafting abilities, which helped contribute immensely to his manual dexterity and visual acuity, both of which are key components of the artistry of dentistry.
Dr. Velastegui is interested in all aspects of patient care and is committed to delivering only the highest quality of dental care by continuing his dental education in general, implant and cosmetic dentistry. In 2022, he became a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry. The Fellowship Award (FAGD) is presented to dentists who seek to provide the highest quality dental care by remaining current in the profession.
