About Dr. Parley Hubler Jr
Dr. Parley Hubler, Jr. was born in Sallisaw, Oklahoma, but grew up on a cattle ranch outside the small town of Pawhuska in northern Oklahoma, where he graduated from Pawhuska High School. The two main industries in the area were oil and cattle, and Dr. Hubler had opportunities to work in both. Much of his younger life was spent helping his dad on the ranch, gathering cattle on horseback—reminiscent of the old cattle drives of the late 1800s. During his teen years, he gained experience working various oil field jobs. These experiences in the oil field and working cattle played a big part in convincing him that dentistry would be an excellent career choice.
After high school, he lived a year and a half in South America doing missionary service, where he learned to speak Spanish. Upon returning, he met and married his wife, Cindy Norwood of Abilene, TX. He then returned to Oklahoma for dental school, earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma in 1994.
Dr. Hubler and Cindy were married in 1988 and have five children—three daughters and two sons. A daughter and son-in-law live in McKinney, Texas, while the rest are still in Oklahoma for now, with many planning to move to Texas in the future.
For the last 24 years, Dr. Hubler has lived in the small town of Sallisaw in eastern Oklahoma, where he was born. There, he built a small private practice and spent his time raising his children. With all of them now grown and out of the house, it was time to start a new chapter in his life. Dr. Hubler felt an immediate connection to Lucas when he first saw the possible practice location and looks forward to becoming part of the community and offering quality dental services for years to come.

I waited over 45 minutes to be seen by the doctor for a physical. Her medical assistant asked me questions that I had already answered on the medical pre-registration, and then, the doctor asked me the same questions. The doctor asked me what I was in the office for rather than just checking the paperwork. She told me I would have to come back for a cholesterol blood test because I hadn’t fasted that morning, although no one contacted me earlier to let me know that would be a requirement. Finally, the phlebotomist (as sweet as she was!) stuck me twice and was unable to draw blood because she said my veins rolled; I’ve had a lot of blood drawn in my life, and no one has ever told me my veins rolled. She went to go get another phlebotomist who told me that the first phlebotomist was new so she may have been having a difficult time. When the receptionist tried to reschedule me for my next physical, I told her I would not be coming back.

Very very gentle and up to date on technology. Was super quick and had the most friendly staff. I’m terrified of the dentist and this is the only one I will ever go to from here on out. Amazing experience every time.

I have been terrified of and had bad experiences at Dentist appointments for years. After 6 years of avoiding any dental visits, I finally decided to bite the bullet and schedule with Dr. Hubler for a cleaning after my mother who has had similar traumatic experiences with dental work in the past went to Dr. Hubler and loved the care, attention, gentleness, thoroughness, and kindness that was not only taken by the dentist but of all the staff from the hygienists to office staff alike. I must say my experience was exactly the same. My hygienist was so kind, patient, attentive, and thorough and we had a great time talking and she did a wonderful job with the cleaning. There was almost no pain at all during the cleaning (she even gave me topical gum numbing when she noticed my gums were sensitive in one spot so I would be more comfortable). I have nothing but good things to say about EVERYONE I had contact with in Lucas Family Dentistry, and I will only be doing dental work here from now on. I’m looking forward to actually anticipating dental visits without dread. I never thought I’d say that, but Dr. Hubler and staff are so wonderful!

I was extremely impressed by Dr. Hubler and all of his staff! Very professional and very kind and welcoming. Amy was patient with me as we got my insurance squared away, Dr. Hublers assistant was thorough and very easy to talk to as well. Dr. Hubler was right on time and personable! Which can be hard to find in the medical industry, having a doctor who will explain in layman’s terms what needs to happen and how he is going to proceed.

My family has been looking for a new dentist close to the house and I saw Dr. Hubler online and wanted to give it a shot. I'm so glad I did, he was awesome! You can always tell in that first visit if your going to like the dentist, staff, etc. and we did!! We have found our dental home :)
