About Dr. Peter Scerbo
Dr Scerbo studies at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) and earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree in 2003. While at UMDNJ, he was a member of the Foresight Mentorship Program, Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society, and a Bloomfield Health Careers Scholar. He completed his post-graduate education at Nova Southeastern University earning an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) degree in 2004. As a resident there, Dr. Scerbo refined his general and cosmetic dentistry skills and also conducted research on the incidence of separation of NiTi rotary files on extracted teeth. He presented research at the 2004 Miami Winter Dental Conference and along with his research team was honored with Best Research Study among presenters.
Dr. Scerbo began his career in 2004 as a general and cosmetic dentist for Town Care Dental in Hialeah. Today, at his own practice, Florida Smiles Dentistry, he routinely performs procedures including restoring dental implants, placing veneers, and doing smile makeovers and full mouth restorations. He is a strong proponent of continuing education courses and on site staff training to provide patients with a safe and more comfortable dental experience. Patient satisfaction and quality dental care are his top priorities.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Scerbo enjoys rooting for the Penn State Nittany Lions. He also spends his leisure time attending Florida Panther hockey games, boating, skiing, and racing gas powered RC cars.

It the first dental office I have been to that does not do a general cleaning before examining. I felt like the visit was a waste of my time. They did nothing more than took x-ray which was uncomfortable and poke my gums nothing to rinse my mouth after just not good.

It was my first time visiting, it’s within walking distance of my house which is so convenient. I was seen maybe 10 minutes after arriving and filling out my paperwork. I had Cheryl as my hygienist, and she was great! Very very informative and took me through each step of the cleaning. My teeth came out looking very nice.

I am a 74 year old man who had to have complete dental restoration done. My bite had to be corrected first before I could get my super star smille. I am so happy that my daughter recomanded me to Dr. Scerbo he has performed a miracle in my mouth. Not only do my teeth look phenomenal but they fit so perfectly that I now enjoy eating a steak which I was not able to do before.

You can get everything done in one location. Ask about their office plan and get discounts off almost everything. Nice crowns . He can do natural looking or very white if that's what you want (like me). Very nice staff.

I hate giving bad reviews and I have to say Dr. Scerbo is excellent, excellent bedside manner, great personality, very professional. Very happy w/his work. Anytime I've ever had issues it is never w/the Dr.... always with the staff unfortunately. I had scheduled a regular routine cleaning (covered 100% by insurance), nothing else was scheduled or mentioned. When I went in for the cleaning she did the cleaning and wanted to do x-rays which I agreed to. When I get the EOB from the insurance company they had also billed me for "periodontal maintenance" which I never requested, was never mentioned at anytime during or prior to the visit. I asked why I was being charged that and why it was done and they claim "it was because of a deep cleaning I had 3 years ago"!!!! WHAT????? Ridiculous... I couldn't get thru to her that they can't do maintenance without my consent or approval and they can't charge my insurance company for work I never agreed to. She wouldn't listen, so unfortunately I had to send a claim into my insurance company and also had to send a complaint form into the Florida Board of Dentistry to "excessive treatment". I have advised the the office in writing that, that particular bill will not be paid and would like to settle this amicably... .still no answer. Will update .....

Dr Scerbo has always been very cordial and easy to speak with. I had to have a lot of crowns done and with limited funds and weak dental coverage, he did the work well and with great accuracy and diagnosis.

Dr. Scerbo office staff is always professional in their respective positions, but in the event one employee may be out, the office is never without an answer for your questions, and always welcomes you with the utmost friendly greetings. Dr. Scerbo is a great Dentist who takes pride in not only his profession, but also the care of his staff and office to make sure all runs smoothly for his patients. I wouldn't change Dr. Scerbo for any other Dentist, ever!

My visit with Dr. Scerbo was great. I had no been to the dentist for about 3 years due to lack of dental insurance. They were quick with getting my back to take x-rays, have the exam and explain what he found. They also explained all the plan and associated costs with the plan of action and they were extremely helpful with scheduling. . It really helps to make an informed decision. I highly recommend Dr. Scerbo and his entire office staff.

The Dental hygienist, while cleaning my teeth, could not prevent water from constantly spraying all over my face while she used the tool she was using. Other hygienists at other offices I have gone to have never had that problem.
