Dr. Yelizar earned his Doctoral Degree from New York University College of Dentistry. During his residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, Dr. Yelizar learned to merge his love of science, art, and altruism in order to create gorgeous smiles like those he captured on film during his travels.
As a passionate and dedicated professional, Dr. Yelizar attends numerous continuing education courses each year to further his dental education and stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and techniques in the dental field. Dr. Yelizar is known for having excellent chair-side manners that make his patients feel comfortable and relaxed during appointments. His ultimate goal is to provide top-notch dental care that leaves you with a healthy, beautiful smile. When he is not helping his patients have healthier smiles, Dr. Yelizar enjoys spending time with his wife, newborn daughter, along with his doberman, Zane. Dr. Yelizar has been playing tennis since he could hold up a racket and continues to enjoy this sport in his leisure time. He also loves animals, reading, scuba diving, and traveling.

I was disappointed for two reasons: 1) the dentist office did now know the appointment date and thought it was same day I made the Zocdoc reservation; they called me and asked me to change the date; and 2) I did not see Peter, and his brother Rueben came in instead. This was quite surprising and noone informed about this, which leaves a semi-bad taste in my mouth.
The hygentist and dentist were both fine and did a decent job. Rueben was really trying to upsell braces and encouraging me to see his brother, orthodontist. Again, not ideal but I can ignore this if they continue to treat me otherwise.

I would definitely recommend this dentist. He is excellent and takes the time to listen to you- no rush. The rest of the staff is super friendly and very assuring and accommodating. I’m glad I went here for my dental needs.

I was very nervous about going to a new dentist but When I entered the front door I was relieved. The girl at the front desk as very friendly, the two ladies who escorted me into the examining room and took my x-rays made me feel very relaxed and Dr. Yelizar was extremely nice and listened attentively. I saw him outside the building and he took the time to talk to me. It was definitely a very nice appointment. In addition after each patient left the room was cleaned thoroughly. I would highly recommend Dr. Yelizar

The teeth exam and X-rays was excellent. He reviewed the X-rays with and explained what he saw and might be needed in the future. I have complete confidence in Dr. Peter Yelizar. I highly recommend him. A beautifully clean and modern office.

My experience with this dentist was AMAZING. I am going to make him my permanent dentist. His office is clean, and his staff is super friendly. After filling out the new patient forms, I was seen right away. They even have TVs in the room itself so you're not bored while waiting for the dentist! I was in and out of there in an hour! The dentist was very friendly, quick, and efficient. He gave me suggestions about my teeth, but he wasn't too pushy. They even gave me a goody bag after the appointment!
