“I had a great visit at Encino Smile Makeover. I was really anxious going into it since I had put off going to the dentist for so long, but they made me feel comfortable, well-informed, and not once did I feel shamed or admonished for avoiding care until now. Pricing was reasonable and office environment is really nice with great views.
The only reason I rated 4 instead of 5 was that I specifically booked here because I wanted to see a female doctor (just something I usually feel more comfortable with) and I ended up not being seen by Dr. Gahsri herself but by a different male dentist on staff, which I totally get if they have different specialties or full patient rosters already, or whatever other reason. He was actually great and I would have no problem seeing him again, but just something I thought worth mentioning if this is something that’s important to you when you’re seeking care.
Overall I’m happy with my experience and have found my new routine dental office. ”

Dr. Poneh Ghasri has been living in Encino since 1990. She’s a proud wife and a mom of 2 beautiful children. She dedicates herself to providing the best quality dentistry for her patients using the safest and the most effective techniques dentistry has to offer. With over 20 years of experience as a premier cosmetic dentist, Dr. Ghasri creates smile makeovers on a daily basis.
Her advanced training expertise in restorative, cosmetic, and implant dentistry allows her the ability to successfully perform more complex procedures, such as full-mouth rehabilitation cases, alongside a team of expert specialists. Well-versed in a variety of dental procedures that make her a trusted name in the modeling and entertainment industries, Dr. Ghasri is recognized by Invisalign as a "Preferred Provider" and by Denmat as a "Top Lumineers Dentist," based on her experience in her field.
She has also written multiple articles and has participated in several research studies in numerous areas of dentistry.
Dr. Ghasri's passion for dentistry started when she was a young girl eager to visit her father at his dental office. Besides inheriting his genes, Dr. Ghasri also learned from her father the importance of serving the community both in and out of the dental office.
Raised and educated in Los Angeles as a proud Angeleno, Dr. Ghasri is working to improve the dental health and education of her community through her practice and outreach. She is a graduate of UCLA, obtaining her Doctorate of Dental Surgery Degree from the prestigious UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dr. Ghasri is passionate about learning on a daily basis. Other than courses in dentistry, she enjoys spending time with her family, taking self-improvement, leadership, and communication courses, as well as listening to audio books.

I have had a hard time finding a dentist that doesn't upcharge, who I can trust, who does excellent work... Dr. Poneh is perfect. She really cares about her patients.

Dr. Poneh is the BEST! She is super understanding and really cares about her patients' comfort. I am TERRIFIED of shots but she talked me through it. I barely felt the needle and was numb in no time. I can't believe how great I feel coming out of the dentist's office. If you're thinking of coming to Encino Smile Makeover DO IT!!

My favorite thing about this office is that it's multi-specialty! Do I need a root canal? They have an endodontist, I need my tooth extracted? The have a periodontist. One address, one office. My general dentist, Dr. Poneh, is involved with whatever treatment I need that requires a specialist & is there for all my post-op appointments. I've been coming here for several years and I love how convenient it is for me.

I chose ESM bc Dr. Poneh was in-network and showed immediate availability on Zocdoc. I really got lucky finding this office bc they were so honest and comforting. I felt at ease with her and her staff. I would go back to her for routine care.

I needed some perio work done and saw their periodontist. He was personable & funny. I love how caring the office is, I felt like I was in good hands. They followed up with me to make sure the site was healing and I was okay. The dentist even provided me with her personal line in case I had any issues after hours. I love Dr. Poneh's commitment to her patients.

I've been at their office for about 2 years and can say w/out a doubt that this is the best dentist I've ever had. She is very caring and gentle. Her staff is very warm and welcoming. I love my hygienist, my teeth feel squeaky clean after all my visits. Definitely come here if you need a new dentist!

During my invisalign treatment. Dr. Poneh was very caring an attentive. It was great having a dental team that was excited as I was excited as I was every time I got a new tray. I Love my dentist!

I replaced an old metal filling with a white one. This office does social media with some of their patients and asked if I was interested. They were very friendly and respectful when asking. No pressure! This was one of the funnest dental visits I've ever had haha.

I've been wanting veneers for years and I chose ESM because of the online reviews and pictures. I highly recommend checking out their instagram @encinosmile makeover cuz they post all kinds of procedures and pictures of what they do!

Best cleaning hands down. with the best staff in town Dr. Poneh goes above and beyond. She took my Emergency call and advised me what to do at night when every other dentist was closed.
