About Dr. Priya Mathew

Dr. Priya Mathew attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, one of the country's top dental schools and part of the Ivy League. She graduated in 2009 as the youngest in her class at age 24 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree as part of a combined seven-year health sciences program with Villanova University. She then went on to complete a General Practice Residency at Abington Memorial Hospital, just a few miles from MVP Family Dental, where she gained more knowledge about the dental profession in a hospital setting. Her mother AND father were both dentists. The late Dr. Mathew Thomas, her dad, went to Temple Dental school at the age of 40! He practiced dentistry for some time and then later taught at Penn Dental and was a beloved preclinic professor for several years. Dr. Vineetha Thomas, her mom, was the OG dentist of the family, who came from India with a BDS dental degree and went on to finish her Doctoral degree at Tufts University in 1984.
