About Dr. Rama Hakim

Dr. Rama Hakim grew up in Damascus, Syria, where she earned her first Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry Degree. Thereafter, she immigrated to Canada and worked as a pharmaceutical assistant and then as a dental assistant. While she was preparing for a career in dentistry in the US, she finished a public health program with Cornell University. She then attended Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, where she obtained her DMD. Dr. Rama views dentistry as something that can be a life-changing experience, and she loves her ability to be part of it. She enjoys the human connection and the relationships that she builds with her patients. An avid learner, Dr. Rama also loves the fact that dentistry is ever evolving and that there will always be new opportunities to learn about new developments, materials, and technology. Dr. Rama is a member of the American Dental Association and the Massachusetts Dental Society. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Rama loves Latin dancing, hiking and climbing, cross-country skiing, pickleball, and reading. In addition to English, Dr. Rama is fluent in Arabic and is learning Spanish.
