My specialty allows me to combine my background in medicine, dentistry and surgery to holistically treat each patient from infancy through adulthood. I use effective communication, the latest 3D technology and a multidisciplinary approach to ensure optimal care of my patients” Dr. Habib is an Egyptian-American who was born in Texas and raised in Minnesota. She always knew she wanted to be a surgeon since the days pressed to the TV watching ER. She was always the first in her family to grab the first aid kit to lend a hand to anyone around her who was hurt. Awarded an American Heart Association Scholarship as a high school graduate, she worked at the Experimental Surgical Services lab at the University of Minnesota where she assisted on open heart surgeries for FDA approval heart devices while in undergrad. She was inspired to become a Cleft and Craniofacial Surgeon after she saw the impact reconstructive facial surgery had on the lives of children and adults treated with complex congenital defects at the OMFS department at the University of Minnesota. She loves that Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery combines dentistry, medicine, artistry, and engineering and that she is able to work with her hands to improve the lives of her patients. She utilizes open communication, complex 3D reconstruction, virtual surgical planning and a multidisciplinary approach to the care of her patients to optimize her outcomes.
