About Dr. Ravi Rajanna
Dr. Rajanna is a Kansas City native and enjoys playing a variety of sports including: softball, tennis, snowboarding and kickball and has been a lifelong fan of the Royals & Chiefs. Dr. Rajanna is active in a number of professional societies including: the American Association of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Missouri Dental Association, the Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and the Eastern Jackson County Dental Group.
Dr. Rajanna worked as a chemist for Aventis pharmaceuticals following graduation from UMKC. His two years working in pharmaceuticals were an invaluable experience and prepared him well for his transition into the dental industry. After four years in Boston for dental school, Dr. Rajanna made the decision to return to Missouri and took a position as an associate dentist in St. Louis, where he practiced for four years. Working as a general dentist prior to becoming a specialist in orthodontics has given him a keen understanding of the needs and challenges of doing high quality restorative dentistry. Such experience gives Dr. Rajanna an edge when it comes to communicating with other dentists and preparing our patients for restorative work such as: implants, veneers, crowns and bridges.
Dr. Rajanna joined the team at Lakewood Orthodontics in October of 2012 and took over as our solo orthodontist in 2013. His training with the University of Colorado, Department of Orthodontics allows him to employ many advanced techniques which make treatment faster, more comfortable and results in a beautiful smile that will last a lifetime. Dr. Rajanna’s philosophy of meticulous treatment, utilization of the latest technology and honesty in all we do have made Lakewood Orthodontics one of Kansas City’s premier orthodontic offices.

This office is absolutely awesome. I wasn't sure as to what needed to be done so I came here for a 2nd opinion, and this is where we stayed. The staff is excellent and very helpful with anything. I am so glad we came here!! Dr. Ravi explained our situations w/ Case's teeth so I could understand. He is a very unique case.

Office is always accomodating to busy schedule and works around it easily. I've rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen for an appointment and the staff has always been friendly and great with my kids. Love them & recommend them every time.

The office staff are effecient and professional. Dr. Ravi consults with me about both of my children's progress. Dr. Ravi also does an excellent job with my son that has special needs. I would recommend this office to anyone looking for orthodontic care.
