About Dr. Raymond Wright

Dr. Wright, a Chicago native, was inspired to pursue dentistry by watching his father practice as a periodontist. He combines a passion for science with a strong commitment to helping patients, emphasizing that oral health is closely connected to overall health. After dental school, he trained closely with two mentors, further strengthening his skills in diagnosis, treatment planning, restorative care, endodontics, implants, and oral surgery. He earned his BS and MS in Biological Sciences from Illinois State University and his DDS from the University of Illinois-Chicago in 2005. Dr. Wright is a member of the ADA, AGD, CDA, SDCDS, and AADSM, and has completed more than 1,000 hours of continuing education. Now based in San Diego, Dr. Wright enjoys road biking, concerts, sporting events, comedy shows, trying new restaurants, and caring for his plants. His mantra is simple: make friends and solve problems while improving each patient’s oral health with efficient, predictable care.
