A proud Orange County native, she has over 20 years of dental experience and loves what she does. Dr. Michelsen earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific, and she can't wait to share her passion with you as she helps you achieve your dream smile.

Office staff and dental staff were all so lovely and friendly. However, The doctor seemed like she was rushing and did not explain my dental procedures thoroughly. As a first time patient at this dental office, I think the doctor should have taken more time to be more personable about my dental concerns and I did not appreciate how rushed she seemed. Dr. Michelson took a quick Look at my teeth and gave a very vague description of what I needed done. I felt overwhelmed at the end of my appointment because of the lack of communication about how what i needed done exactly, insurance coverage, and payment plans. The Dr. seemed distracted.

The whole team was super sweet and caring. The only thing preventing me from going back in the future is that its a bit more costly than some other places. They do have great services though and the whole team seemed really sweet.

I’ve never met a friendlier staff, and I have a problem with getting numb they didn’t have a problem using more Novacaine, which I really appreciate that. Made the emergency broken tooth repair a game changer. My new Dentist. Thank you keep doing what you’re doing. ?

Great communication with me prior and during my appointment, and once attended the dentist explains what is needed after the X-rays are done. Then they gave me a dental care plan which is a summary with what was explained to me at the time of my visit.

I have a strong anxiety when it comes to dentist. I have to say that my visit to Dr. Michelsen was better than I could hope for. Veronica at the front desk was very kind and I had no issues with checking in. I had an appointment for a dental exam and a deep cleaning. Gabby, the hygienist, was wonderful. I told her about my concerns and she really made me feel comfortable. Dr. Michelsen was thoughtful but also truthful about the things I needed to get taken care of. Her assistant Will was very helpful as well. I feel I'm in good hands with this group and I appreciate their kindness and professionalism.

Dr. Michelsen is an awesome dentist! I came to her to get a second opinion on dental work that my original dentist wanted me to do. She thoroughly checked everything and concluded that I did not need all of the work that my original dentist said that I did. After that, I switched over to Michelsen Dental and I have never been happier!

My 7 year old daughter had her permanent teeth beginning to sprout while her baby teeth were still intact and barely wiggling. By the advice of Dr. Michelsen, we went in immediately to get her two bottom teeth pulled. As it turned out, her permanent teeth were not doing their job of pushing up her baby teeth and her baby teeth roots were still intact. It would have probably been months until her baby teeth were wiggly enough to pull at home. Dr. Michelsen was very informative with the both of us as to why her teeth needed to be pulled. My daughter was nervous but after sitting in the chair and watching a favorite program her nerves were calmed. Dr. Michelsen was gentle and so sweet. Everything was taken care of promptly and my daughter walked out very happy and proud to have her first teeth out! Thank you Dr. Michelsen for your advice and getting us in so quickly! You are the best!!

This is a wonderful dental office!! As soon as you walk in the door, you know you will be taken good care of. Dr. Michelsen and her staff did an amazing job fixing my damaged, discolored front tooth. I really did not think the gray line on my damaged front tooth could be improved. Other dentists said it was probably as good as it could get. However, Dr. Michelsen patiently and expertly worked on it, and she proved them wrong!!!

Dr. Renu Michelsen is warm and welcoming yet professional. Her wonderful demeanor makes it a lot easier to visit a dentist. I've been so pleased with her work that I've recommended her to friends and family. This dentist is extremely professional and excellent in her field. The staff is awesome! They are always kind, helpful, pleasant and fun.

Dr. Michelsen is amazing. I brought my dad for dental work, she was very patient and gentle throughout the entire process. She was constantly explaining what she is going to perform and how mild/extreme the pain was going to be. She is very professional and I would definitely recommend Dr. Michelsen to everyone.

Dr. Michaelsen is always fantastic. She’s been treating me and my son for the past 6 years since my sons first ever dentist appointment! Dr. Michelsen is very relaxed and pleasant making the experience comfortable. Love that I can also be entertained during the procedure with Netflix. It make the time go by quickly.

Dr. Michelsen is the best. I come all the way from Redondo Beach every 6 months for my regular checkups with her. I've been with her as my dentist for over 15 years now and she has helped me with my regular checkups, a couple root canals, a crown, teeth whitening, a dental implant, and wisdom teeth removal. She's got a very warm and friendly staff who always keep the mood light during the procedures. They are always super helpful in making sure I'm not paying more than I should and taking advantage of what my insurance offers. Please make a visit to see her, I'm sure it will be well worth it.

I need a lot of dental work done and I’m glad I found this office. They have a whole network of specialists (orthos and surgeons) they can put you in contact with which is nice. The staff was amazing and they really give the office a good vibe. I feel like I’m in good hands, especially with Doctor Michelson explaining all my options to me. Also the staff person who handles financing is great…they have some decent in-house financing options which will be helpful for me. I would definitely recommend this office.

I had an excellent experience at this dental office! Everyone was friendly and communicated everything clearly. I walked in as a new patient and walked out with three procedures done in the same day which is great because of my busy schedule! I also did not feel like I was being pushed to have anything done that was not absolutely necessary which has happened with past dentists. Dr Michelsen and her team are great, I will definitely continue to go to their office!
