About Dr. Richard Buffong
Dr. Buffong is the proud owner of RJ Dental Teaneck and Roselle and a highly skilled dentist dedicated to providing gentle and effective care to patients of all dental backgrounds and ages. He earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
RJ Dental was established in 2005 with a mission statement: “Treating your Oral Health in Relation to your Overall Health.” Dr. Buffong wants his patients to understand the CONNECTION between their oral health and their overall health. A diseased mouth, including multiple missing teeth and misaligned teeth, has been shown to lead or contribute to heart disease, diabetes, improper digestion of food, just to name a few.
Dr. Buffong has always emphasized the importance of creating a dental practice that stresses relaxation, comfort, and integrity. “Most important to me is my patients’ understanding and education about the dental procedures that they are undergoing. I believe that an educated patient will make the correct decision about their dental health, whether it’s implants, crown and bridge, or Invisalign treatment.”

We all know that going to the dentist is not a pleasurable experience and most people avoid going but when you have a dentist who listens, is sensitive to your needs and fear this makes the experience much more tolerable because you sense being taken care of by a caring and passionate provider.

We really enjoyed our visit, the staff is really friendly and cheerful. The office is very clean, the wait time was at most 10-15 min. Doctor was great as well. The staff communicated very well, breaking down things, making sure all our questions were answered.

He’s the first dentist that ever really listened to me. He didn’t rush me and explained everything so nicely. He didn’t make me feel bad about asking questions like others in the past. He was very patient and very kind. I felt heard by him and I’ve never had a good dental experience before so I do highly recommend this dentist. The only downside is the staff can mix things up easily so you should double check your forms, they were also nice though just a bit unorganized but I’m sure that is something that can improve.
