About Dr. Richard Winter
A 1988 University of Minnesota graduate, Dr. Richard Winter has a passion for modern dentistry and thrives on the challenges of the dental treatment needs of his patients that require leading edge applications of advanced dental procedures and use of state-of-the-art dental components and materials.
Dr. Winter's personal and professional commitment to remaining abreast of and going beyond traditional standards in creative dentistry is evidenced in numerous post graduate training programs.
Dr. Richard is a Master with and active Board Member of the esteemed Academy of General Dentistry. He is also a graduate of the Misch Implant Institute of Implant Prosthetics. Dr. Richard also participated in a mini-residency program with Nobel Biocare's Branemark Implant systems.
Dr. Richard is a frequent guest speaker and lecturer at local schools, discussing both current standards of modern dentistry and the ongoing developments within the general field of advanced dental sciences and technologies.
Outside of his active practice, Dr. Winter is a Black Belt in TaeKwonDo, and an instructor in Jeet Kune Do as well as a Thai Boxing enthusiast. He is a professional judge of Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts and is certified by the Nevada State Athletic Commision to judge these events in Las Vegas.
Dr. Richard has been married for over 15 years to wife Jackie and has a 12 year old daughter, Ariel-who loves dancing... and a 5 year old son, Eli, who is Dr. Richard's "superhero." We accept most PPO networks and fee for service insurance plans. Unfortunately, we are not contracted with HMO, Badgercare, or Medicaid.

I have had a lot of dental work done over many years (due to poor dental hygiene in my formative years) and Dr. Winters is one of the best I have experienced. He ensures patients have complete information on treatment options to make the best decision possible. He provides this information both verbally and in writing (user-friendly writing), along with photos to help retain information. I am in the beginning stage of my treatment plan and am very happy with the care so far. Another positive aspect about this dentist and dental clinic is the family-oriented experience I felt when I reached out for assistance with my dental concern. The staff is welcoming, kind, and compassionate. I also like that they are a community-focused dental office and have been at this location for many years.

I had an excellent visit with Dr. Richard Winter, DDS, MAGD. I did not have a long wait time before being taken in for my appointment. Dr. Winter's assistant made me comfortable and relaxed for my appointment. Dr. Winter came and also made feel comfortable and put me at ease and made me relaxed for my appointment.
I am recommending Hampton Dental to my family and friends for any dental work they need done.

I am VERY afraid of the dentist because of some childhood trauma but Dr. Winters and his Dental Hygienist made me feel comfortable enough to get through the visit. I will stay with them and recommend family and friends if in need of a dentist!

I am missing a few adult teeth and have been living with temps for the last 8 years. I've reached out to other dentists for consultation, but they've always given me minimal information and rushed me to make a decision.
Dr. Rick Winters laid out all the options for how to more permanently replace these missing teeth, and patiently answered all my questions. He understands that cost and time is a big factor in making decisions about oral health, and definitely doesn't pressure you into a decision that makes you uncomfortable.
Most recently, he did a couple fillings for me - and it was the first time that I wasn't miserable afterward! I drive 80 miles to see him, and I wouldn't want to go to anyone else!
