About Dr. Robert Lichtenstein
After graduating cum laude from Brooklyn College, City University of New York in 1969, Dr. Lichtenstein pursued his dental education at the world-renowned Temple University School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree in 1972. He holds fellowship status with the prestigious International Congress of Oral Implantologists. Dr. Lichtenstein currently maintains a practice in Manhattan and serves as the Clinical Director of Affiliated Cosmetic Dentists of New York, located on Lexington Avenue.
He treats a full range of dental issues, from simple single-tooth restorations to comprehensive full-mouth rehabilitations. Dr. Lichtenstein is also skilled in the latest non-surgical treatments for gum disease, as well as traditional approaches.

Dr. Lichtenstein & his dental hygienist Jan were both so amazing at their jobs, professional and personable. They made me feel extremely comfortable knowing that I was nervous and even took interest in getting to know me. Now, I’m definitely looking forward to my dental journey with them. Cintia, their office manager was welcoming and polite and was extremely accommodating in making sure that my appointment was secured no matter how many times I needed to change it (given my recent scheduling conflicts). Great team, great practice. Not to mention my appointment was on time!

One of the best epxeriences in an office. I was immediately seen, greeted by the Dr. and very clearly told the condition of my teeth and how the year would look in regards to cleaning. Dr. Lichtenstein was thoughtful, kind, and very informative.

It was my first time as a patient of Dr. Lichtenstein. First impression: very happy office staff! I thought, that means Dr. Lichtenstein is pleasant to work with... And I was right! Dr. L. made me feel comfortable right away, I'm a bit nervous about going to the dentist. He has a very sweet manner and a gentle touch. I normally don't give reviews, but I came in with a dental emergency and it was the best dental experience I've ever had.
He and his staff were super nice. Zero pain. Other dentists I've seen seemed rushed and left uncomfortable chunks; others have made me worry that the drill is out of control spinning around and taking out other teeth! He was professional, thoughtful and did an amazing, pain-free job. I was practically sleeping the whole time he was filling the cavity!!!
