Dr. Roshanak Rastegar is a board-certified pediatric dentist providing oral and dental care to young patients from birth through adolescence. She completed a Pediatric Dentistry certificate and a master’s degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She was awarded UAB Graduate School Fellowship for master research project on antimicrobial effect of Licorice extract against oral bacteria that can cause dental caries. She has dental licenses in 3 countries: USA, Australia, Iran. She has volunteer experience doing Dental screening in multiple primary schools at Birmingham, Alabama, providing outreach dental services at multiple community centers in USA, Australia, and Iran, including the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. She is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association.
