About Dr. Salar Azad
Dr. Salar Azad has been in practice in the fields of Periodontics, Dental Implants, and Cosmetic Dentistry since 2017. His certification and expertise enables Dr. Azad to provide an extended range of therapeutic modalities through the vast knowledge of his disciplines in order to achieve the utmost in treatment excellence. During this time, he has been delivering the full scope of his specialty with particular emphasis on the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases, bone regeneration, oral plastic surgery, dental implants, full mouth rehabilitation, and complex restorative dental procedures.
Dr. Salar Azad is a native of Maryland, where he was raised and attended local schools. He always had a compassionate interest in dentistry. His college pursuits initially brought him to the University of Maryland, where in 2008, he graduated summa cum laude with Bachelor of Science. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from University of Maryland School of Dentistry and was one of the six top students in his class who were accepted into the Diamond Scholars program.
By his final year in dental school, he developed a strong interest in periodontics. He then continued his education in the postdoctoral specialty residency at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry where he received his Certificate in Periodontics.
Always striving for increased knowledge, Dr. Azad has accumulated massive hours in continuing education far beyond the yearly requirements needed. It is his solemn promise and never-ending quest to stay abreast of all clinical advances to constantly fulfill his vision of providing the optimal patient experience through his compassion, specific attention to detail, and uncompromised excellence of care in an unparalleled environment.
In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Mahsan and his son. He also enjoys traveling, skiing and watching movies.

I have had a fear of dentist visits all my life. I was fortunate to choose Worman's Mill and Dr. Azad when I broke a tooth. Dr. Azad listened to the many reasons for my fear and worked to assure I was comfortable. After my first visit with Dr. Azad my years of dental phobia were dramatically reduced. I cannot recommend Worman's Mill and Dr. Azad highly enough. If you fear going to the dentist - see Dr. Azad!

First visit, I explained what the visit was for, Had a quick exam, and quite a few X-rays.
Second visit, More X-rays, gingival/teeth measurements.
I'm my opinion, both visits could have been done in one, and the second visit for the procedures to be performed, such as extraction, Root Canal, etc.

Honestly, this is the best dental experience. My mom has Alzheimer’s and I took her to her appointment today. Every staff member bent over backwards to welcome us and treat us with kindness. The office is clean and beautiful and the technology is state of the art. Dr. Azad was very knowledgeable and professional and had a wonderful bedside manner toward my mother. I highly recommend him and his staff.

The office staff was very pleasant and the atmosphere was small but very nice. Due to time restraints, they were unable to help me but in the future, I would definitely consider using them. They were thorough and explained everything nicely. They do offer a great deal of services.

As a new patient I was very impressed by the welcoming atmosphere of the staff from the receptionist to the dental assistant and then to Dr. Salar Azad himself. Having just moved to the area, I was eager to find a periodontist to continue the care I received from my previous one for many years.
Dr. Azad listened to my history and it was clear he understood and was familiar with my previous dental procedures and made suggestions as to my future dental health.
I am very happy to have found a great dental practice after my move to Frederick.
