Dr. Salome Masrani, DDS, MPH

Endodontist
14001 Bee Cave Pkwy, Suite 300, Bee Cave, TX
I’m a midwestern girl from Kansas City. During high school, after volunteering with a dentist for a couple of summers, I had been accepted to the reserved admission program at UMKC School of Dentistry. I moved to St. Louis to attend Washington University for undergraduate studies before returning to Kansas City. After completing dental school at UMKC, I completed a General Practice Residency at LSU and stayed for a second year as Chief Resident for a more hospital-based training, but also took full advantage of southern living and the New Orleans food scene. Having my sights set on becoming an Endodontist, I applied and was admitted to Temple University in Philadelphia. At Temple University, I completed my training in root canals, retreatments, root-end surgery and was named Chief Resident during my second year. Though I loved Philly for its architecture and food scene, I moved to Austin, Texas after completing my residency. Austin quickly became home and is really where I have matured as a provider and gotten a lot more experience. I have been practicing Endodontics in Austin, Texas since 2017. While working, I also decided I still wanted to learn more and try to be able to do more to impact dentistry and public health. I completed a Masters in Public Health through the UNC Gillings School of Public Health. Currently, I am in the process of completing my board certification process, with just the last of three parts to submit. To continue learning, I have also started an Orofacial Pain and Pathology masters program through USC, which will only continue to help to make sure we make more accurate treatment decisions. On the weekdays I am not at the office, I go to the Veterans Affairs Clinic to provide endodontic treatment. Outside of dentistry, my passions are cooking, reading, art/painting, yoga, mindfulness/meditation, and DOGS.
