Saman Edalat is an insightful and compassionate dentist assisting his patients in Whittier, CA. Dr. Edalat is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, Farsi, Danish, Norwegian, and Swedish fluently. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. Dr. Edalat attended the University of Southern California’s School of Dentistry to complete his doctorate of dental surgery degree. Dr. Edalat is continually enhancing his education, taking courses such as implant placement and restoration, bone grafts, infection control, and cosmetic dentistry. His clinical interests are in orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, and oral surgery procedures, including wisdom teeth removal. Had not been to a dentist in a long while and was quite anxious about my visit. All very needlessly as the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dr. Edalat was professional, friendly and most importantly showed, and relayed so much information in regards to my dental exam. Everything was thorough and informative and didn't feel like I was using my dental benefits on unnecessary procedures.

I have avoided dental offices for over 20 years, with the exception of last year. I have a history of having a very, very hard time getting numb. It has been this way since I was a child. Last year I had an abscess tooth that had to be extracted. I warned the dentist that I had a hard time getting numb. After giving me a shot to numb me, I told the dentist that I was only feeling a tingling sensation, but was not numb. That crazy dentist still removed my tooth! I screamed in pain!
Recently, my crown fell out. I knew I had to go to the dentist, and I was dreading it. I found Dr. Edalat here on Zocdoc. I read the reviews and decided to go to his office. I actually saw Dr. Poria Edalat. I explained to him my fears of getting numb and my bad experience last year of the tooth extraction. Unfortunately the tooth where the crown had fallen out, had to be extracted. I was extremely nervous. Dr Edalat assured me I would be completely numb. He was so kind and gentle. Although it took a few times with injections, he did get me completely numb. In fact, Dr. Edalat shocked me when after a few moments he said, “It’s out.” I couldn’t believe it! I did not feel it. Although I have to have a lot of dental work done, such as a few root canals, I am not in the least bit afraid to go to this wonderful, gentle dentist. I can’t recommend him highly enough! Oh, and his office staff are awesome! The sweetest girls you can imagine!

Hmmm well its been a while since my last visit to the dentist but I can clearly say shaman edalat is the best dentsist I've been too unlike my past dentist (Newport dental) he actually works with you , makes sure you leave with satisfaction.
