About Dr. Sandra Shakibkhoo
Dr. Shakibkhoo began her studies at UCLA as a psychobiology major before transferring to the University of Southern California, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree along with a dental hygiene degree.
She specializes in cosmetic dentistry, including Invisalign, veneers, laser dentistry, porcelain fillings, implant restorations, and complete smile makeovers. Dr. Shakibkhoo is a member of the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and the California Dental Association, and she has served as a clinical instructor at USC.

Overall, a lovely dentist visit! The women at the front desk were kind and clear, I was seen right away, and the doc was thoughtful and skilled. I had a chipped tooth repaired and I'd give it an A+. I'd be back to see her again if I lived in the area. Thx!

This was such a great experience. I was very anxious with being relatively new to the city (moved here in the Fall), COVID and having a filling fall out...But everyone at the office made me feel welcome and relaxed.
The ladies at the front desk were friendly, patient and professional. The dental hygienist was very friendly and put me immediately at ease.
The Doctor was professional, patient and friendly. She could tell I was nervous and was very patient with me. She and the dental hygienist put me at ease and other than a little pressure (which she warned me about), I did not feel anything during the procedure.
I would highly recommend Doctor Shakibkhoo and her staff.

Absolutely amazing. The kindest, quickest, cleanest place I have ever been for any dental work. I have extreme anxiety and all of the women made me feel so calm and light even though I was in a lot of pain. They referred me to an oral surgeon through my insurance and booked an appointment for me with the surgeon same day after seeing me for 10 minutes and realizing how bad the situation was. I cannot wait to come back and get more work done by them, which is something I have never said about any doctor or dentist ever! Thank you so much for everything!!!!

This was my first visit here and selecting a new dentist since moving to Los Angeles. I had a bad experience in the past with a dentist in my home town performing excessive dental fillings in my teeth and since then I've been very cautious. Dr. Shakibkhoo was definitely not that kind of dentist when I met her to my relief. She ensured me that her treatments were very conservative. She is very personable, patient-centered, and passionate of what she does. I can tell her assistants were very happy to work for her and are the same from their interactions. Highly recommend her as you are selecting dentists in the area!

Very quick and attentive staff. They were able to get me in and out almost immediately, and refer me to a specialist immediately. I went in at 9am, which was the earliest I could see them, and they had me out the door and to a specialist down the street within twenty minutes. I was able to get a root canal and extreme pain of my tooth fixed within an hour and a half!

I loved visiting this office. I have two follow-up appointments and am not dreading them at all. Love that my experience was with all women! All of them very professional, smart, good-spirited, and kind. I trust them and felt right at home, despite being at the dentist.

The entire office was fantastic! From the second I walked in, I felt welcomed and was able to relax a bit. I really do not enjoy the dentist, but my visit with Dr. Shakibkhoo and her staff marked the first time I felt somewhat at ease throughout my procedure. I would recommend their practice to everyone, especially those who are more nervous about their dental work.

Seriously, my favorite dentist ever. I absolutely loved Dr. Shakibkhoo and all hygienists / assistants I encountered. When I had issues with my wisdom teeth and was in severe pain, she gave me her cell number and even texted me to make sure I was ok. She was located close enough to walk, but parking was always easy and everything was great. Could not recommend her enough!

Dr. Shakibhoo made me feel extremely comfortable and cared for. She is very kind and immediately put me at ease. I sincerely appreciated her transparency and attention to detail when explaining procedures to me. Beyond the Dr, the entire staff was exceptional. Sunny was so warm and a wonderful person to initiate my new member exam and x-rays. Not only was Ashley professional and competent, but it really felt like she takes an interest in patients beyond their cleanings. The front desk staff was also helpful and kind. A wonderful experience overall!

I love Cosmetic Dental! So convenient and everyone there is really nice and helpful. They don't push extra procedures on you if you don't want them. Only issue was with scheduling- there seems to be some discrepancy between zocdoc scheduling and their scheduling. Had to reschedule like 4 times, and the appointment emails I got had the wrong times on them.

They didn't keep me waiting (which is one thing I usually dread about going to the dentist or doctor), they were very thorough in their explanations as to what they were doing and what they recommended (who wants to agree to a procedure when they don't even understand why they need it?), everything was very clean (!!!), and they were all friendly! :-)

This was my first visit to Dr. Shakibhoo's office. Her staff are all very friendly and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Shakibhoo is really good about making it a personal experience by getting to know you and providing a brief intro on her background. She also doesn't make you feel judged when you don't do all the things you know you're supposed to do...floss, etc. I also appreciate her conservative approach. She doesn't oversell services to you. The only critique is that I wish they covered parking.

Because I am not from LA I have visited 3 different dentists in the last year trying to find one I like. My first visit to this office was absolutely stellar! I enjoyed every second I was there and can't wait to return to get my crown done. Every member on staff was completely open and friendly to me. When I wasn't with the doctor the nurses were all carrying fun conversation with me and making me feel comfortable. Dr. Shakinkhoo was extremely sweet, and definitely not out to empty my pockets. The hygienist was the exact same. Overall, I'm ecstatic I found this place and it will be my permanent dentist office for sure! Great experience! Thank you to everyone working in that office! I feel good knowing I don't have to worry about finding a good dentist that isn't trying to rip me off anymore.

Dr. Shakibkhoo and her staff provided me with the best dental care I've ever received. I actually went to another dentist beforehand and he casually ran some x-rays and told me i need 4 fillings without so much as a discussion of the x-rays or what kind of fillings I needed. This dentist, on the other hand, sat down with me over an hour just going over the x-rays and explaining what each little mark was resulting in a diagnosis of zero cavities. All I needed was a deep cleaning, a lesson on how to floss, and I was off with a healthy and clean mouth.
