About Dr. Sandra Shin

Dr. Sandra Shin received her DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine in 1997. She continued her education at the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Program at the University of California San Francisco. After residency, Dr. Shin moved to Chicago where she practiced and was a clinical instructor for fixed prosthodontics at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry. After two years in Chicago, Dr. Shin realized she missed the milder climate and beauty of the Bay Area. She moved back, settling in the South Bay, and started practicing dentistry as an associate in Los Altos. With years of experience behind her, she decided to open a private practice in Sunnyvale. Dr. Shin has a passion for providing high-quality, excellent care in a comfortable and friendly environment through her dedication to her patients and their families. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, tennis, and yoga. She has recently picked up snowboarding and hopes to stop falling one day. She is a big fan of her loving family, the Steelers, and SciFi movies.

I HAVE BEEN WITH DR. SHIN FOR OVER A YEAR NOW, SHE IS ALWAYS GENUINE ABOUT CARE TOWARDS HER PATIENTS. SHE NEVER RUSHES THROUGH MY VISITS AND GIVES ME THE MOST HELPFUL ADVISE FOR MY TEETH. ITS NOT EASY FINDING A GOOD DENTIST WHO ACTUALLY CARES BUT DR. SHIN ONE OF THE BEST IVE HAD.
