Dr. Scott Larson, DMD

Dr. Scott Larson, DMD

Dentist
928 E 100 S, Salt Lake City, UT
Dr. Scott Larson graduated from Case Western Reserve University and was one of the last graduates to be able to choose a DMD or DDS. He came home to join his father William Larson, uncles Brent and Eric, and cousin Matt at the long existing Larson Family Dental, started by Grandpa Reed (you can see why we use first names). Dr. Scott and Dr. Bill worked side by side for six years teaching each other a few things and learning much more about dentistry until Scott took over and Bill moved out of private practice to continue educating at the University of Utah School of Dentistry. Some of the unique parts of dentistry that Dr. Scott learned from his Dad and continues to focus on are conservative ways to save and rebuild teeth and smiles. This includes opening and splinting people’s bites which helps with wear and TMJ issues and a lot of work with composites on anterior and posterior teeth. He has also placed and restored many implants and has worked on everyone from young children to 100+ year olds, enjoying the variety general dentistry has to offer. Anyone that comes in the door is treated like family, and many patients have been coming long enough to be considered family (probably one patient a week reminisces about seeing Grandpa Reed). When Scott isn’t down in the mouth he is encouraging his family to enjoy the lakes, rivers, and mountains of Utah or the mountains of Disney. He and his wife Gina (a breast cancer conquerer) and their three kids (who have lost three out of four grandparents at 71) have decided life is short. They are all rockstars even with life throwing curveballs excelling in sports, school, art, playing the harp, and treating their golden doodle like a sibling. Their family mantra has become experiences over things. They have been on several humanitarian trips together, both spending time with, and helping the people they are serving and seeing a few of the wonders the world has to offer.
