About Dr. Selen Tolu
Dr. Tolu obtained her Doctorate of Dental Surgery (DDS) from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, where she graduated with the Dean’s Award of Excellence in 2013. Following graduation, Dr. Tolu has completed a prestigious Comprehensive Implantology Continuum at the Columbia University College of Dental Medicine. In addition, she is a certified Invisalign provider as well as a certified provider in laser dentistry through the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Dr. Tolu is a board member for the Greater Washington Academy of Women Dentists and a committee member for the DC Dental Society. As an Albert Schweitzer Fellow, Dr. Tolu is committed to contributing back to her community, where she volunteers for Mission of Mercy, Give Kids a Smile Day, Team Smile, Special Olympics, and many other local and national charity events.

The office staff is amazing the dental hygienist is friendly and knowledgeable as to the health of your gums and suggest good practices & flossing products.
The Dentist how bout them Terps ! She is wonderful and budget friendly in terms of your treatment plan. I go back in a month I will write a review on that visit I have found my new dentist office I look forward to creating a beautiful smile I can e proud of at My Greenbelt Dentist!

I had such a wonderful experience with my cleaning. I have horrible anxiety when it comes to any dental work and they were so great at putting me at ease. All of the staff was friendly - including reception, my doctor was so knowledgeable and had great bedside manner. Would truly recommend anyone to this office!

The staff at the front desk were the worst part of my experience. The staff was using medical language and when I asked for layman’s terms, she couldn’t explain. After a while of asking questions that weren’t clearly answered, I left feeling spoken down to and unclear about my treatment plan. The actual doctor herself was kind but kind of short in her communication.

Everyone at My Greenbelt Dentist was so kind! Dr. Tolu was very cool, and she explained everything that was happening during my exam and for my treatment plan. The staff was incredibly kind too, especially Jackie and Adrianna! Very happy I found a new dentist ??.

I have a very irrational fear of the Dentist. I have been since I got my braces removed over 8 years ago but Dr. Tolu and the staff made me feel so comfortable! I usually have major anxiety but they were so calm, relaxed, informative, detailed, and understanding I will definitely be back and definitely recommend!

The best dentist visit ever! Dr. Tolu was so professional, caring, and knowledgeable. You can tell she actually cares for her patients. She communicates clearly what your treatment options are and respects your thoughts and concerns. I am SO glad I found her! The desk ladies were awesome too.

She has always been very professional, explains what she plans to do and what the pricing is ahead of treatment. Her staff is always very pleasant and proficient as well. The wait time is usually less than 15 min. Appointments are easy to make. I do think that they aught to post a notice or say so on their answering machine that they are not open on Mondays so people are aware.

I was in so much pain and had to have an emergency root canal - obviously I was super scared. But Dr Tolu was SO nice, and so was the entire staff! Pretty much pain free afterwards!! Highly recommend

Dr. Tolu is both highly skilled and very empathetic, which is what one hopes for in a dentist. Every thing that was in her power to make the filling of four cavities a less dismal experience was done. Her whole team was great. Highest recommendation.

Dr. Selen Tolu, DDS is very rare. She is very caring, professional, a great listener, she's non-judgemental and highly intellegent. Dr. Selen Tolu, DDS also has an uncanny ability to make one feel calm, trusting and at peace. Dr. Tolu is very soft spoken, very calm and explained the process from top to bottom throughout the entire procedure. I am one who doesnt particularlly appreciate dental visits and often experience extreme anxiety before a dental visit, but this experience was different and I am very suprised that I am saying this, but I enjoyed my dental visits! The staff is amazing! They always have a smile on their faces and are always willing and able to assist you! The team is very professional and knowledgable. The office is clean (coming from a germaphobe) was inviting and in a convenient location. I would highly recommend Dr. Selen Tolu DDS; she'll definately be my Doctor for a very long time!
