About Dr. Shaghayegh (Shari) Tahririan
Dr. Shari Tahririan grew up in Portland, Oregon. Her passion for painting, sculpture, and attention to detail inspired her to become a dentist. "It was always my dream to utilize my clinical and artistic skills to create, and now that I am a dentist, my goal is to make everlasting beautiful smiles."
Dr. Shari earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Oregon Health & Science University in 2007. She continued to live and work in Portland for three years after dental school. Her desire to be close to the ocean and sense of adventure led her to the beautiful city of San Diego. Dr. Shari worked for multiple dental offices in San Diego for six years before opening New Smile Dentistry. She continues to take classes and stay up to date with the newest techniques and technologies in her field, is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, and is certified in Invisalign.

Technician taking Xrays had poor technique. He touched multiple surfaces with gloves before touching pieces that went into my mouth. I had to ask him to change gloves after seeing him touch cords directly on the floor then a camera that would be going into my mouth.

The office was pretty run down and outdated. The assistant was not very friendly and took an hour to do X-rays. I was supposed to get a cleaning and I was told they didn’t have time anymore. Overall I would not recommend.

Great dental office starting in the front desk, Jessica takes care of business with insurance issues right away and gets things done. All the dental assistants and the doctor are great and to the point, explaining all the work needed to be done with pictures in front of you. Get you the best care, NO PAIN at all. I highly recommend Dr. Shari and her staff at New Smile Dentistry.
