About Dr. Shane Smith

Every day, Dr. Smith looks forward to working with a passionate team, providing great care to patients in need, and seeing satisfied smiles after the treatment process is complete! He’s always ready to go the extra mile and help make dental appointments genuinely stress-free for his local community. Ever since he can remember, Dr. Smith has had positive experiences at the dentist’s office. He grew up with a huge gap in the middle of his front two teeth, and after undergoing orthodontic treatment as a teenager, he personally got to experience the amazing confidence boost that came from having a straighter, more attractive smile. At that point, he knew that he wanted to provide that very same happiness to the people around him – and the rest is history. After attending Arkansas State University, Dr. Smith achieved his dental doctorate at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Before opening his own dental office, he worked at a variety of different dental offices across Northeast Arkansas, Southeast Missouri, and Memphis, gaining lots of value experience along the way. As for continuing education, he has completed courses with companies like Nobel Biocare and Versah regarding dental implants, BOTOX/Juvederm training with the American Academy of Facial Esthetics, and hundreds of hours of online training through Dentaltown! Dr. Smith’s parents live in Brookland, and he has a brother here in Jonesboro who works as a pharmacist. His wife Candance is a physical therapy assistant who also runs their downtown venue (The Smith Venue). In his free time, he loves renovating homes and cooking – Gordon Ramsey is a hero for him! He and Candace are always trying out recipes. Weekend trips are also a big priority. They love seeing new places regularly and being able to spend quality time with family.
