About Shanzae Faheem
Dr. Shanzae Zain Faheem is a Board-Certified Orofacial Pain Specialist devoted to helping patients find relief from TMJ disorders, chronic facial pain, headaches, and sleep-related issues. After completing her foundational dental education in 2015, she moved to the United States to pursue advanced specialty training.
She completed both her Residency and Master of Dental Science (MDS) in Orofacial Pain at Rutgers University, one of the nation’s most respected programs. She is also Board Certified by the American Board of Orofacial Pain, reflecting exceptional clinical expertise and the highest standards of patient care.
What truly distinguishes Dr. Faheem is her personal journey as a former TMD patient. She understands the frustration, isolation, and daily challenges that come with chronic facial pain. This lived experience deepens her empathy and allows her to connect with patients on a very real, human level. Her treatment philosophy centers on listening deeply, validating every patient’s experience, and creating evidence-based, individualized care plans.
Her clinical expertise includes:
• TMJ dysfunction & joint disorders
• Chronic headaches and migraines
• Neuropathic and unexplained facial pain
• Bruxism and sleep-related conditions
• Complex or persistent orofacial pain

Outside the clinic, she enjoys reading, traveling, and cherishing time with her husband and their two children, who are her greatest source of joy and balance.

If you’re looking for a skilled and caring TMJ specialist, I highly recommend Dr. Faheem. She has made a huge difference in my quality of life! Irecommend Pristine Smiles Dental. Lucy front office was nice and explained everything aboutmy appointment also my assistant Mira did awesome in explaining every step of what woud happen in the appointment!

I had a great experience with Dr. Faheem at the dentist’s office. She was very kind, professional, and made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived. My visit was fast and efficient, but I never felt rushed. She took the time to clearly explain everything that needed to be done and answered all of my questions. I really appreciated how well she took care of me throughout the appointment. I would definitely recommend Dr. Faheem to anyone looking for a caring and knowledgeable dentist.
