About Dr. Sheetal Gokhale
An experienced dentist, Dr. Gokhale earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at the University of the Pacific, School of Dentistry in San Francisco. She has successfully completed the Dental Board Exam in California.
Throughout her career, Dr. Gokhale has built her reputation as a skilled, caring, and compassionate dentist for whom patient care and comfort are paramount. Her experience and multi-lingual staff create a warm, friendly environment and provide exceptional customer service. Before starting her practice, Dr. Gokhale worked as an associate and managing dentist in several successful dental offices in the Bay Area.

As a first-time patient, I appreciated the quick and thorough dental cleaning, though it was a little rough and painful. I kind of got the impression that she was rushing with the cleaning, but she did ask me to let her know if there was pain, and we took a short and needed break during the cleaning.

When I arrived and as I was leaving there was no one at the reception desk. There should at least be a call bell.
They used a lot more numbing gel, so cleaning was less painful; there were only a few sharp pokes.
There was quite a bit of splash and some running down my neck; I feel my fsce could have been better-protected.

Very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional dentist. It was my mom's first dentist visit - and especially to extract a broken tooth - she immediately made her comfortable with her calm demeanor and detailed explanation of the whole process. That is priceless.

Dr. G. poked my gums painfully in some cases where I think it could've been avoided, this after having applied numbing gel twice. Suggesting I come in 3 or 4 times a year instead of 2, when 2 has sufficed for many years, struck me as an attempt at rent-seeking. I might have been more amenable if it had been more pleasant. Also, I've been going there for years and seen Finding Nemo every time. It's time for a new video selection; maybe even have a choice. Maybe some concerts, or comedies less dependent on visuals.

I am really happy with Dr. Sheetal. She is a great dentist and most importantly a very empathetic human being. She patiently explained every process in detail and was transparent about the next steps and costings (something I greatly value).
I got my cleaning, fillings and one took extracted which was completely destroyed by some of the other dentists. I also had a very deep cavity that could have required a root canal. She was great and managed to fill it well. Touchwood, it has been a year and all is good :-)

My gums and teeth are very sensitive, especially to cold, and the numbing gel really helped. I liked the TV; the volume could have been a bit louder (and the subtitlles were in (I think) Russian -- wtf!)

Dr Sheetal is super patient and nice to talk to and took really good care of me.
I would consider myself as a difficult patient as I have been terrified of dentist chairs since forever - but she was very patient and addressed all my concerns. I had my tooth extracted and cleaned - and fortunately the pain was not that bad after the extraction. She is a through professional when it comes to her work as well as friendly and has that human touch when it comes to giving advice (something I highly value). I also got a proper list of foods that I could eat after extraction and proper post treatment instructions from her - overall a good experience. I am yet to go for two more fillings to her.

I respect doctors in general for the medical and emotional support they provide during the process. Unfortunately I had a bad experience. We go to a doctor when we have a problem or feel the need to have a checkup - atleast that was my case. Dr. Sheetal Gokhale was very unprofessional and insulted, scolded and talked to me like I was an irresponsible person for a few initial stage cavities/caries. Moreover to make matters worse, she assumed that I had a lot of time and just wasting my time. She lost her temper thinking people who take a break from work are just morons and lazy. In reality my close relative just passed away and I was also going through an annulment and took a break from work. I felt she wrongly judged me as a person. She shouted at me because I had some cavities/caries that needed some care. Everyone including the receptionist heard her yelling. Absolutely embarrassing and horrible experience. I had tears in my eyes as I walked out. I kept my cool throughout and didn't say anything much. I don't know if there is a better place to raise this issue. In any case, I believe a patient's medical problem should be confidential and private, and not brought to the entire clinic's notice. Kindly provide the feedback to the doctor so that she can provide her best service to every patient she meets.

Dr. Gokhale planned to fill one of my wisdom teeth, and gave me enough painkiller to get past my resistance, but after at-least-apparently-sincere attempts, she admitted she was unable to fill or extract my tooth -- my tooth is fused to my jaw, so she referred me to a specialist. I don't think I was charged.

Didn't believe me when I said I'd need more anesthetic until I was writhing in pain. Did a pretty good job of getting me to relax. Could use a bluetooth headset; dialogue of movies was hard to hear (had to keep volume low in order not to disrupt phone calls).

Maybe I had more stuff on my teeth,and maybe I was feeling more sensitive, but my cleaning seemed to hurt more this time, even with what the hygienist called "numbing gel". I may need to ask if they have stronger stuff next time.

I have been very happy with Dr. Gokhale as my dentist. My son got braces with Dr. Gokhale and it was a very positive experience. We had very little problem getting appointments since Dr. Gokhale has weekend appointments as well. She is approachable and I value her professional opinion. The staff are courteous and helpful as well. Definitely glad to have Dr. Gokhale as a dentist!

She, and her assistant, were super thorough in her explanations of what work (& dental habits) she recommended, and also on the priority & timeline of those things. I've had dentists before where I questioned if they were trying to sell me procedures I don't need; I've had others where I felt they were trying to push through so many patients that they didn't do a thorough job. This was definitely not the case with her, on both counts. I was quite pleased with my visits. I'll be back again.

The staff gave me full x-rays when I asked not to have one and did not sign the consent form. The dentist diagnosed six cavities when they are micro-cavities that did not need to be treated, and I did not have cavities for the last 20 years. They are dishonest: booking extra appts and procedures. The dentist also spent very little time cleaning my teeth (no scaler used at all) because she was spending the time pushing procedures on me. The result is I have to get another cleaning next week!

Visiting Remington Park Dental offices over a year now. I have always received excellent service, good treatment and great advice on how to take care of my teeth to prevent any issues. The doctor as well as the staff are courteous and also give follow up calls to ensure there is no trouble after a specific treatment.

This was must. It was for teeth cleaning. And I'm not regular for teeth cleaning. Very welcoming, great atmosphere, comfortable, no pain. Complete satisfied! Look forward to my next visits after 3 months.
