About Dr. Sheila Mahooti
Being exposed to health care by her physician parents, Dr. Sheila Mahooti always knew she would enter the same field. She eventually found her calling in dentistry, where she could combine patient care with her artistic tendencies.
Dr. Sheila Mahooti pursued her dream of becoming a dentist by attending New York University, where she earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2001. She furthered her skills and education by completing a one-year General Practice Residency at the prestigious Manhattan Veterans Affairs Hospital. She then relocated to sunny Southern California and has been practicing here since.
Dr. Mahooti is a faculty member at UCLA School of Dentistry in the clinical restorative department. She stays current with cutting-edge developments in dentistry by continuously educating herself through various courses and seminars. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, California Dental Society, and San Fernando Valley Dental Society.

I have been in Dr. Mahooti's care since 2004. Before finding her, I had been going back and forth to different dentists, not satisfied with any of them. I am very grateful to have fond Dr. Mahooti. She is an excellent dentist and very friendly and caring. I recommend her to all of my friends and family.

I broke my tooth while eating and was mortified. A friend recommended Dr. Mahooti and I made an appointment with her. She took me in as an emergency and was very compassionate towards my situation. I immediately felt at ease and knew she would take care of me in the best way...and she did!!! She made a crown for my tooth that matches perfectly and looks amazing! I will recommend her to everyone.

Dr. Mahooti was very kind and caring. She took her time explaining the treatment and my options.She talked to me throughout the procedure and told me what to expect. Everything went really well. The staff is very friendly and has a great energy.

I had a very positive experience visiting Dr. Mahooti's practice. She has excellent chair side manner. She was very thorough and caring. She fixed a few cavities and gave me a nightguard, which stopped the headaches I've been getting! I am very happy and will definately recommend her!

Dr. Mahooti and her staff were very nice and professional. My appointments were always on time and easy. I needed a crown and a couple of cavities filled. I've had a few old crowns before and the process seemed much easier and more timely with her.

I've had a fear of dentist ever since I was a kid. I've been going to Dr. Mahooti for the last three years and I'm doing so much better in her care. I appreciate her patience and professionalism.
