His academic journey began at the College of Charleston, where he graduated in the top 4% with highest honors in biology. He then earned his doctorate from the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine, where he received multiple clinical awards and was honored with the prestigious U.S. Navy Health Professions Scholarship. Answering a call to serve, Dr. Miler spent four years as a Lieutenant and active duty general dentist at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island. His outstanding performance earned him a spot in the competitive three-year orthodontic residency at the Georgia School of Orthodontics, where he also completed a fellowship in clear aligner therapy. In his final year, he served in private practice, refining his skills and providing excellent care to the Atlanta community. With a heart for his hometown, Dr. Miler returned to establish practices in Beaufort and Bluffton, delivering premier orthodontic care to families throughout the Lowcountry. He specializes in early interceptive, adolescent, and adult treatments, offering both traditional braces and clear aligners tailored to each patient’s needs. Beyond his profession, Dr. Miler is a devoted husband to Margaret and proud father of two sons. He enjoys family time, sports, and the outdoors, often accompanied by the family's energetic golden retriever.
