Dr. Sophia Beason-Brown graduated from Howard University in Washington D.C. with her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Prior to procuring Simsbury Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, Dr. Beason-Brown completed a fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry at the Children's Hospital in Hartford, CT, as well as a two-year General Practice Residency at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center. While there, she was the chief resident and recipient of the prestigious Oral Surgery Award. She is dedicated to the most current advancements in dentistry and maintains a strong commitment to continuing education. Among the many distinguishing qualities of Dr. Beason-Brown, as mentioned by staff and patients alike, are her gentleness, attention to detail, affable disposition, and impeccable bedside manner. She takes great pride and joy in providing exceptional dentistry in a caring and pleasant environment. Dr. Beason-Brown provides an array of dental services including treatment of gum disease, surgical placement of implants, Invisalign, TMJ therapy, sleep apnea treatment, pediatric dentistry, and cosmetic dental services. She is a professional member of the national and state dental associations, as well as multiple study clubs. Her goal is to provide exceptional service in a comfortable atmosphere. When Dr. Beason-Brown is not practicing her passion for cosmetic dentistry, she spends most of her time with her husband, three children, and her German Spitz dog.
