About Dr. Sophia Koos
Dr. Sophia Koos is a compassionate and dedicated dentist from Westchester County, New York, raised in Mount Kisco. Recognizing the significant impact of exceptional dental care on overall well-being and self-esteem, she chose a career in dentistry to help others achieve healthy and beautiful smiles.
In 2021, Dr. Koos earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Touro College and University System in Hawthorne, NY, the first new dental school in the state in nearly 50 years. With its emphasis on advanced technology and comprehensive education, Touro provided her with a solid foundation in dentistry. To further enhance her skills, she completed a General Practice Residency at New York University Elaine A. and Kenneth G. Langone Medical Center, a top-ranked hospital according to U.S. News & World Report. During her residency, she gained expertise in various general and specialty procedures, including emergency dental treatment at a Level 1 Trauma Center.
In her spare time, Dr. Koos enjoys reading and maintaining an active lifestyle at the gym. She is honored and excited to join the esteemed team at Ashford Dental, where she will utilize her skills and genuine care to help patients achieve and maintain their optimal oral health.

The entry to this doctor is not handicap friendly. Chaird in waiting room are uncomfortable. Otherwise the dentist and the hygienist are superb.

Had a molar problem and made an appointment over the weekend, seen on Monday. Got in early and no hassle or waiting. Even though I could not get the tooth extracted the doctor prescribed antibiotics and the pharmacy had them in one hour. Everyone is understanding and caring, Dr. Koos explained what was happening and recommended seeing a specialist to get an extraction. Will definitely be going back and seeing them for all my cleaning and check ups!

I was very happy with Jane who did my cleaning, X-rays and inspection. She was very polite, caring, attentive, listened to my concerns and gave me great recommendations.
After my cleaning was done I met Dr. Koos that seemed to be in a rush during the visit.
At the end of the visit she made a very immature and inappropriate comment stating that she has the same issue even though she is half my age ! And that’s life !
By the way I am 36! ??
