He then furthered his education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where he earned an MD degree, and completed a full General Surgery internship. Dr. Vila then completed his training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, and served as Chief Resident at a busy Level 1 Trauma Center in Birmingham, AL. Dr. Vila is a board eligible Oral Surgeon. After completing his training, Dr. Vila decided to make Birmingham home and now offers his services in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery to his community.
