About Dr. Stephen Molinaro
Originally from Long Island, Dr. Molinaro was interested in dentistry from a young age. He was fortunate that his family dentist invited him to observe and later allowed him to practice alongside him for two years.
Dr. Molinaro earned his Bachelor's degree in Biochemistry and Psychology at SUNY Stony Brook and completed an additional year in biochemical research, which resulted in a publication in the Journal of Biological Chemistry. He then attended New York University College of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree and received awards in Family Practice and Operative Dentistry. In private practice, he focused his postdoctoral education on lasers in dentistry and earned Mastership status at the Academy of Laser Dentistry. Along with cosmetic and reconstructive dentistry, he continues to use lasers for soft tissue treatments in his practice today.
After becoming a resident of Ridgefield, Dr. Molinaro was introduced to Dr. Richard Scala. Upon Dr. Scala's retirement, Dr. Molinaro and his former partner, Dr. Healy, continued the practice for over 22 years. Dr. Healy has since retired, while Dr. Molinaro continues to practice in the office.
Dr. Molinaro prioritizes listening to every patient's concerns and takes the time to explain treatment options so patients can make the best choices suited to their needs. His goal is to establish a trusting relationship with each patient and provide comfortable dental care in a warm, friendly environment.
Outside the office, Dr. Molinaro enjoys spending time with his immediate and large extended family, playing golf, hiking, biking, kayaking, reading, music, and movies.

Cleaning by Janice was excellent. She also provided good feedback on how to improve my home care program Dr. Molinaro also provided good feedback on the last upper molar (left upper guardant) about the permanent cap he placed & also the work that the endodontist Dr. Nedeltchev had completed to remove infected nerve.
