About Dr. Sulochana Gurung
Dr. Sulochana Gurung was born in Nepal and first trained to be a dentist in her native country. In her quest to become a dentist in the United States, she went on to achieve her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at SUNY Buffalo – School of Dental Medicine where she earned research honors with a concentration in Oral Maxillofacial surgery and Aesthetic dentistry. While in dental school, Dr. Gurung also received numerous clinical, academic, research and leadership awards.
She was selected as chief resident during her subsequent residency at NY Presbyterian Center in Queens. Her advanced training program focused on implant surgeries, full mouth rehabilitation and complex surgical and cosmetic cases.
Dr. Gurung is devoted to delivering the finest dentistry available for patients of all ages. She’s passionate about remaining on the leading edge of dental implant treatment, cosmetic solutions, complex oral surgery, and evidence-based dental care.
Beyond serving patients, she loves spending time with her husband and their two young children. She also enjoys singing karaoke with friends and family, arts and crafts, dancing, volunteering in the community, and trying different recipes.

Dr. Gurung and her staff were fantastic with me for the entire experience. I came in semi-emergently with intense jaw pain. She saw me with urgency and respect. Took time to evaluate and take care of me. I did not, for one second, ever feel rushed! I went home with antibiotics, came back for another visit a few days after, and had a deep cleaning. Had a follow-up the week after. I appreciate Dr. Gurung in her accurate diagnosis. Pain is gone and I feel great! Thank you, Dr. Gurung!!

Dr. Gurung provided me with the most thorough dental examination I've ever had. The friendly and professional office staff took numerous x-rays and detailed images of my teeth and mouth. Dr. Gurung did the cleaning (!!), and afterward, she brought me into her office to review the images and discuss my options. She was wonderful, the office was new and clean, and the staff - Doris and Anna - were professional and kind. I cannot recommend this office enough!
