“Thankful for a procedure that seems to be healing relatively well! If I were to do this again, I would ask that the post-surgery instructions be given before the surgery takes place. (I'm not sure if I even really received much information because I was still very groggy after waking up from anesthesia, but I'm betting I probably nodded along without being fully conscious, if the communications even took place.) Very grateful for the quick consultation-to-surgery turn around, though! And everyone was kind!”

Dr. Shaun (Sung) Kim's comprehensive dental practice is located in North Frisco. For the past years, he has performed and benefited many patients with a broad spectrum of dentistry. Utilizing the latest technology and minimally invasive concepts, Dr. Shaun Kim is dedicated to providing excellent dental care to his patients in North Frisco. His clinical knowledge and experience allow his patients to enjoy specialty procedures at more affordable costs-procedures such as surgical implant placement, bone and soft tissue regeneration, platelet-rich fibrin (regenerative procedure), Pinhole Gum Recession Rejuvenation, full mouth rehabilitation, intravenous sedation for anxious patients, wisdom teeth extraction, root canal therapy, and others.
Dr. Kim earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio School of Dentistry. He was awarded Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry (FAGD) and Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI) for being a pioneer in advanced dentistry. His passion for dentistry motivates him to learn the latest technology and innovative techniques to better serve his patients with minimally invasive treatment. The patient's well-being is his and his team's first priority.
Having been an active athlete since childhood, Dr. Kim is an avid rock climber, as well as a competitive tennis and soccer player.

I was in excruciating pain with two teeth that had to be pulled immediately. Because of the infection they weren’t able to get me very numb but Dr. Sung explained the problem and worked quickly as to not prolong my pain. For that I am very great full!

Several calls before the appointment to confirm insurance. We were asked to arrive early, which we did. Once in the office, x-rays completed and advised wanted cleaning. I was told they needed to confirm coverage with insurance. I have a few cavities, they did not provide a treatment plan, no followup at all.

Scheduled for a basic cleaning was "recommended" a deep cleaning when I stated I only wanted a regular was told they could't do it knowing I needed a deep cleaning. Simple waste of time!!!

Dr. Kim listened to me when I said that me and my family are local analgesic resistance folks with significant pain during dental procedures. (Amide class of locals, Lidocaine, Bupvicaine, etc.)
He provided my cleaning himself and advised me on the replacement of an implant, when I was quoted previously on the replacement of three posts/ implants. I was impressed!

He is very professional and is down to Earth. He has a great staff and they as well are very easy to deal with and are extremely nice and helpful.
I liked how they told you what was going to happen and then brought in the numbers to show you how much you would pay before doing any work, which is super helpful and they gave you options. They were careful with the cleaning and the filling and Dr. Kim would always let you know what he was doing, he always asked how I was and felt during the whole process.
I would recommend him and his team to all of my friends and family. To whoever reads this, you should give Dr. Kim a call he will take care of you.

I went in to get my wisdom teeth pulled. I was led back immediately and the staff made sure I felt ready and comfortable about the procedure. I was previously given options on sedation/local anesthesia, and I decided to get sedated since I was very much nervous about the whole thing. Dr. Kim put on a movie for me, but I think I watched about 5 seconds of it before I got knocked out. Everything was over and done with when I woke up, and almost a whole day later, my bleeding has stopped as promised and I’m experiencing absolute minimal pain. It was a breeze!

I had an old infected root canal tooth. Dr. Kim replaced my tooth with a dental implant and I am very happy with the result. He is very thorough and kind. Plus his office is top of the line!!

I had major teeth problem due to my history of chemo and radiation therapy. My previous dentist had referred me to an oral surgeon. My bill from the oral surgeon was astronomical for extraction and few implants. I went to Dr. Kim for implant consultation. He was very thorough explaining my options. But most importantly his fee was nearly half that of oral surgeon's. I am very happy with my implant experience with Dr. Kim.

I haven't been to a dentist in nearly two years, so I had quite a few issues I wanted to discuss during my consultation. I was offered the same day appointment when I called and there was virtually no wait time before I was seen by Dr. Kim. He explained to me what he observed in the X-rays and patiently went over all the questions I had as well as treatment plans. I was a little nervous and intimidated to go in to see a dentist, but Dr. Kim and his office staff made sure I felt comfortable and welcomed during my visit.

My visit with Dr. Kim is always stress-free. I had extensive implant work done by Dr. Kim and his follow-up always quick and easy but very thorough. Impressed every time!!
