About Dr. Taniya Minhas
Dr. Minhas is a native New Yorker, growing up in Queens, New York. She discovered her passion for dentistry in high school and attended Adelphi University as a member of the highly selective joint degree accelerated program. She graduated one year early, Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science and went on to complete her dental school education at New York University College of Dentistry. Dr. Minhas prides herself in academics and graduated at the top of her class in dental school. She was also inducted into the prestigious National Dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Minhas received her dental license after completing a General Practice Residency at The Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Her experience at the VA was vast and enabled her to achieve immense knowledge and expertise in providing comprehensive dental care. Dr. Minhas is proficient in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign, prosthodontics, endodontics, periodontics, oral surgery and implant dentistry. She enjoys working with patients of all ages, and delivers a fun and comfortable dental experience.
Dr. Minhas never stops learning and stays up to date with the advancements in dentistry by attending study clubs and continuing education courses. She is currently a member of the American Dental Association, New York State Dental Association and the Nassau County Dental Association. Dr. Minhas is fluent in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
Dr. Minhas enjoys volunteering and has participated in numerous community outreaches, providing dental care to populations in need. In her free time, she likes to travel, read, and explore local restaurants. She has become a creative baker, making sweet treats for her family and friends to enjoy!

I typed in my filters on zocdoc for a braces consultation, I was able to book an appointment with no problem. When I got to the office I arrived 30 minutes before the scheduled appointment because I was a new patient and I was sure there were going to be forms outside of the ones I did on zocodc. When I walked up to the receptionist he asked me for my information I gave him my ID because my last name is not a common one he then gives me back the ID and says how did you make your appointment because im not seeing it I say zocdoc ( in a nasty tone). He tells me he's going to make a walk in appointment for me asking me for the information on the same ID I just gave to him he says what am I in for I explain I wanted a braces consultation he says we dont have an orthodontist here and I was very confused because its literally the filter I put in for zocdoc so not only did I waste my time gas and money getting there I wasn't seen I was met with not so accommodating people early in the mornin

She was very pleasant and professional. She made me feel very comfortable. I had some small cavities that had to be filed and I hate the injections they give to numb your gums but I must say Dr. Minhas has great hands cause the injections were not so bad. She walks you through the entire process and she keeps checking on you to make sure you still feel comfortable.

Dr. Minhas was nice, pleasant and professional. She was very informative. At the end of the visit, I found it puzzling as to why the receptionist would tell me my insurance does not cover my procedure when no pre-authorization was not sent to my insurance carrier. Thankfully I called and was told I was covered. However, I think I will get a second opinion from another doctor.

Dr Minhas is magnificent!! Juan, the hygienist is awesome! Best cleaning I ever had in my life!! Very thorough cleaning by Juan. Dr Minhas takes her time, explain everything in full detail, and answers any questions you may have. The front desk staff are friendly and very helpful. I live in the Bronx, but it is well worth it. If you are looking for a Dentist, I highly recommend Dr Minhas.

I found Dr Minhas to be very detailed oriented . She precisely explained each procedure in detail as well as the insurance and the financial aspects of each procedure in which you can understand . Dr Minhas was very gentle throughout the exam. she asked questions before each procedure to make your exam less painful and comfortable . Dr Minhas and her team are excellent . I had a great experience with this office. From the moment I went into the office the staff was great. . I was seen promptly at my appointment time. I got a very thorough cleaning and the hygienist explained everything that was going on. She took her time and did a great job. After the cleaning I saw Dr. Minhas. She took a great deal of time to explain everything that was going on. Glad I found this dental office.

Amazing amazing amazing! Girls at the front desk were nice and they were able to see me sooner than my scheduled appt. Assistant was super sweet and gentle. Dentist was extremely sweet, professional, informative, patient and helpful. It was beyond my expectations. I was seeking to replace my current dentist and this was a no brainer for me. I will continue to come back moving forward. It's nice to have a dentist and staff listen to you and are nice the whole way through and actually CARE. Highly recommend!

Clean and modern office with nice staff. Dr. Minhas was highly professional and friendly. Although she looks young, she was very knowledgeable and radiated with confidence. She completed a thorough exam and addressed all my concerns. She did not overwhelm me with information and took time to explain the treatment options. I will be going back for treatment and am actually looking forward to it!!

Fantastic first visit at this office. The staff was organized and prompt with no wait time. Dr. Minhas is by far the greatest dentist I have ever had. She has a gentle touch and really spent time doing a thorough check up for me. She explained findings on my xrays by actually showing me the screen and I felt very involved. This experience was so positive and encouraging which is rare for a dental visit. I I have found my new permanent dentist!!
